It was ten years ago my boyfriend committed suicide. We loved so young and were together for as long as I can remember. Even to this day my friends say I should loosen up and find someone else.

Believe me I've tried.

I've been to every gay bar, kissed almost every gay man, and still haven't felt what I felt with Koi. There was a few times when I kissed back, but that was only when I thought of Koi and I. After I moved on to the next bar I was known as the "Circle Killer".

Soon I moved to the next town in a remote location to get some peace and quiet. I lived in a small home with a huge front and backyard. I took care of horses and chickens to keep myself from constantly missing him.

I was tired of trying. Nobody could ever replace Koi. Not ever.

A phone call snapped me out of my fantasies in the barnyard. A chicken squawked loudly at the continuous sound.

"Phone, babe." I turned over my shoulder to see a dark haired Hispanic boy sitting on top of Koi's saddle that I refused to use. He traced his fingers over the gold rims of the brown and black saddle.

"I know Koi." I answered, walking over to the phone.

"Wow feisty today I see!" He joked. I chuckled and picked up the phone.

"Hello?"

"John?" The other voice came very quickly and panicked.

"Yes?"

"Where the hell have you been? We've all been searching everywhere for you! Do you know how long we have been looking?" I cringed slightly.

"Fitz. I'm just not myself. I belong out here. Go enjoy the rest of your life without me. Forget about me completely."

"God damn it John! Do you really think it's that easy to forget? You of all people should know that." I turned around to face Koi behind me. He waved sweetly with a smile on his face. I sighed.

"Yeah I do."

"What happened to you?" He questioned. I twirled a finger around my long locks.

"I gave up."

"You what?"

I quickly hung up the phone.

"Who was it?" Koi hopped off the saddle his boots jingling as he made contact with the ground. He walked over and put an arm around my waist. His warm touch slowly creeping through my skin. I moved a peice of hair out of his face and smirked.

"Doesn't matter."

"Awww don't be like that!" He dipped me over his arm and kissed me softly. Our lips met and it was pure pleasure, a nice homely feeling washing over me. "Now how about we go for a ride?" I nodded my head vigorously and grabbed his saddle. He laughed loudly and walked outside, waiting for his horse to come out ready for him to ride.
