~Saeko's POV~

It was another day, and things have once again become hectic. Not because of school,  but because we had to go on a distant trip to my wife's relatives. My morning started out busy, however, Silvia and I were already prepared for the journey, and getting the ticket and boarding the train went smoothly as it could go.

Now, Silvia and I are calmly riding a train heading off to another region. The noise of the metal and the muted chatter of the other passengers felt unusual to my ears, making me feel sort of uncomfortable as it was a very different environment compared to the atmosphere I was used to.

Silvia, herself was mostly tired because she didn't want to go out traveling again. In her own words, this was just, "a stupid errand disguised as a vacation." I laughed at her bluntness.

Silvia's silly quips were always amusing and I loved listening how she would go on random tangents.

During the first months of us being alone together, I had expected her to be a more reclusive type, however because of that, part of me dreaded that wouldn't want to talk to a friend from eight years ago. However, thankfully my fears were unfounded.

Silvia was lovely, she was funny albeit a bit intimidating to others. She was caring yet blunt about the harsh truths. Marrying my childhood crush, living with her, and becoming family, there was nothing more I could ask for.

But despite that, there was still something jabbing at me. Some voice, at the back of my head that felt a bit off. Like, something wasn't exactly right, but there wasn't anything wrong either. A conflicting feeling towards my--

No, stop thinking about it. I snapped myself out of it.

Ever since I was aware of it, I was a child prone to overthinking. As if I was always expecting something to happen, expecting the unexpected. It was a subconscious feeling that I would often find myself wallowing in.  Listening to my exorbitant anxiety was never a good thing, but I was working on it.

Anyway, Kana-kaasan had instructed both of us to purchase some medicinal herbs from a distant relative of theirs. Though I wasn't specifically asked to come, I was curious about the medicinal herbs Rei-kaasan was going to buy. As someone who was studying medicine, I should be aware of these, as herbs are also used in making medication.

That is one of the reasons why I came along, the other is so that Silvia doesn't get lost.

She has a had history with traveling, as she told me-- and as I previously observed.

Anyway, we should be arriving any moment now but Silvia is refusing to move from her spot.

"Funya~° "

She was resting her head on my neck just like a child rearing for its parent. Her nose was brushing up against the nape of my neck, making me feel a bit . . sensitive. She looked just like that of a cat when she buries her face into me. It was quite adorable, though if I ever said that to her, her only response would be,

"I'm not cute, I'm cool!"

It was funny seeing how she tried to prove to me how cool she is without sounding childish.

"Silvia come on, it's almost time to go," I said as I feel the train hit its breaks.

"Hmm," she groaned "I don't want to."

"Rei-kaasan will get mad at you," I answered back.

"Who cares, that old hag isn't here--

"Kana-kaasan was the one who asked you to do this."

"Right, let's go."

She immediately stood up with a twitching ear and grabbed my hand, simultaneously grabbing our bag with her. Thought I haven't gotten to know Kana Yuuno personally, I had heard of her personality from the papers and magazine interviews. I could see her as a kind and caring mother, but from the look of Silvia, she was also quite scary too.

It seems like Kana-kaasan has quite the influence on her for Silvia to be acting like this.

Since we packed quite a bit, I knew how exhausting it could get carrying for a long period of time. I was worried about Silvia being too tired when we arrive.

"Silvia, why don't I help carry those bags."

Saying that she glanced at me as she slung her big satchel behind her and carried mine on her shoulders, with her freehand still holding unto mine.

"No I'm fine, besides," She stopped as we stepped out of the train station's lobby "It seems we got some help."

I turned to look at the people in front.

There stood two female cat-kins. One was black wearing what usually a servant would wear, and another woman with pinkish fur. Floating around her was this noble-like aura. It was the same feeling I felt when I encountered Rei-kaasan a few moons back. But this time, it was more delicate.

"You must be Yuuno-san, my name is Kasuga Chiru. . or should it be Shinonome now. ." The pinkish girl pondered, she was a bit flustered.

"Ojou-sama."

"Ri- Right! Anyway, it's nice meeting you." Both of them bowed in unison. I lowered my head back.

"It's a pleasure."

Noticing that Silvia didn't follow me in my etiquette, I glanced at her. What should have been a bored and deadpan look was instead placed with shock.

"Silvia? What's wrong?" I said as the three of us stared at her.

"You. . ."

"Is something going on dear?"

The black cat-kin looked at Silvia suspiciously as she looked over at where she was looking.

It was Chiru, the Ojou-sama of the girl's

"A-- a Kasuga out and about, it's rare seeing people like you here, especially their beloved daughter," her ears twitched, trying to look calm, but instead felt comically stiff. I could just imagine the buckets of sweat she could be producing with her clumsy attitude.

Judging from her awkward and lacking bluntness, something was clearly bothering her, and she isn't telling me.

"Ah-- oh! You know of us," the girl meekly rubbed her hands on her sleeves. "I have gotten married recently and I'm here acting as my spouse's envoy . . . hehehe~" She said with a blush, but her companion looked tiredly used to this.

"The Ojou-sama still isn't quite accustomed to this, so please forgive her for her informalities," the maid scratched her head, seemingly also abandoning all formalities. We have quite the unusual group.

"No, it's quite fine," I looked at Silvia with a glint in my eye, edging her to tell me what was up later, "I guess it is time for us to go."

I could feel her body freeze as she lowered my bag into the hands of the maid.

"Righttt. . ."
