A dark blanket that hangs over life,
Hovering like a dark angry cloud waiting to strike,
Day by day it grows,
When it will strike we may never know,
The fear of that day overwhelms me,
Consumes me,
Drowns me in pouring rain,
Tell I lie awake,
Only hearing my heart beat,
BANG.
BANG.
BANG.
One day I won't hear it,
That is the day I fear the most,
My cloud hangs low,
Clouding my light,
Making my fear grow and fester,
Tell I am not much more than a shriveled up ball,
Trying to calm down my racing heart,
And loud mind,
I am scared,
I don't want to die,
But I know it will come one day,
And when that day comes I will not be ready,
But in the end I don't believe anyone is.
