CHAPTER THIRTEEN | UNEXPECTED DATE
Part Two
April 27

Zion's P.O.V.

"Let's get out of here and get something to eat," I watch him as he leans forward "I know this Italian place not too far from here."

"Ugh," I couldn't help but lean back into my chair as I crossed my arms "why is it always Italian, why couldn't it be Mexican or Indian. Hell, I would even go for Jamaican."

"You don't like Italian food?" Giorgio questioned.

"No, I do like Italian food," I pause to check my phone before I continue our talk to see if there were any messages but no new messages "the whole 'I know this Italian place' phase is played out. I mean every romcom or television drama with a rich guy says that."

"Well, I didn't expect that," he said as he let out a faint laugh.

"Besides," I look at the time to see that my date should be here any minute, "the person I'm waiting for should be here soon."

"Oh, okay. I continue to wait here till they show up," Giorgio said with a smirk that made me want to throw coffee on him.

Nearly fifteen minutes have passed, and the person that I was to meet is still not here. I text them to see where they are and if they are okay but nothing. On top of that, my stomach sounded more like a beast dying of hunger.

"Are we going to giving it another ten minutes, or are we going to get something to eat," Giorgio asked sarcastically.

"What about your friend?" I quickly pointed out to him, "you are waiting for someone too."

"I texted her five minutes ago asking if we can reschedule and she said okay," he showed me the text messages "now I'm just waiting on you."

"Fine," giving in, mainly because I was hungry, "you are paying, right?"

"Of course," Giorgio said with a smile "now, where do you want to eat?"

"Anywhere?"

He nodded.

"Okay," I stood up while thinking about what I wanted to eat "mind as well get a free meal out of this."

He soon stood up, gesturing me to lead the way outside. Even though I only met this man twice, I found it odd that he was so kind to a stranger. And I was having a hard time figuring out what his intentions are with me. Yet his last name sounded familiar, but I don't know where I heard it from or if I am imagined that I had.

"We can take my car," he insisted as he presses a button on keyless pad to unlock the doors to probably the most expensive car on the block, a black Bugatti.

"Sorry, that's too much attention for me," I told him honestly as I continue to look at his car before looking around the area to make sure no one was watching us "besides, I don't know you, you could be a killer."

"Don't you want to," he nudges me with his elbow, "get to know me?"

"Very tempting," I glance over at him with a faint smile, "but I try to keep a low profile."

"But your driving in a Bently," he pointed out to me, "that's not keeping a low profile."

"This is my father's, not mine," I told him as I made my way to the car, "You can follow me to the place," I told him before hopping in the back seat.

Seconds later, the back passenger door on the left open, and Giorgio got in.

"What are you doing?" I asked as I watch him put on his seat belt

"Riding with you," he chuckled as if I should had known what he was doing."

"I told you to foll-"

"It's no point of driving two vehicles if we are going to the same destination," he pulled out his phone and started to work on it "besides, I don't know the area as well as you, I don't want to get lost."

I was at a lost for words. This man was beyond bold and cocky.

"Oh," he reached over me and quickly fastened my seatbelt for me "safety first."

"I could have done it myself," I mumbled, trying to act as if him being that close to me was nothing.

"Sir, where to?" asked the driver, looking at me through the rearview mirror.

"Grand Park," I said with a smile.

"I don't think there are any restaurants a park," Giorgio pointed out, slightly confused about my destination of choice "maybe we can go to one around here."

"You said anywhere I wanted," I quickly reminded him while I smile the whole time, "and I want to go to Grand Park."

He stared at me for a few moments before sitting back and turn his attention to his phone. A smirk on his face as he types on his phone.

"I just we are going to Grand Park for our date," he said boldly without looking up from his phone.

"Wait. This is not a date," I told him quickly.

"Me treating you is what I called a date," he went out to say, "normally women would pay just to for me to dine with them."

"You should be lucky that I am hungry," I said, knowing if he weren't treating, I wouldn't be here.

"Oh. I considered myself very lucky right now," he said with a smirk before looking over at me and winking.

"Please get us there as fast as you can."
