Angel picked me up to have lunch with pa. Im glad that we are spending more time with him, even though this whole thing with mom now.

"Jesus." Dad said as he stopped reading the paper. Ez was one his phone, while i was eating my burrito. "That thing gonna make you stupid."

"Yeah." Ez smiles. "Might be too late."

"Too late?" I smirked.

"Shut up." He pushed my arm. I sticked my tongue out.

"When's the vote?" Pa asked Ez.

"End of the week."

"It's your life. Whatever choices you make I'm here, son." I looked at Ez. Of course he will, its dad.

"I know, Pop." The door opened and Angel walked out with a book.

"You know all these books smell like cow's blood, right?"

"You know you're supposed to read them not smell them, right?"

"Blow me."

"Since when do you read?" Angel smacks my head with the book. "Ow!"

"Hey!" My dad sternly said, looking at us.

"Love you, Pop." Angel said as he gave him a kiss on the head.

"Cuídate." He nodded.

"Bish called. I'm at the table."

"I'll catch up." Angel left. Ez started to throw his garbage away. "Need a ride?"

"Nah, ill walk." Ez smiles and hugged us both goodbye. "Vas a comer eso?" I told my dad as i pointed at the leftover burrito.

"Take it." He chuckles as he pasted me the plate. "Anything new?" I nodded as i swallowed the burrito.

"Theres a possibility that im going back to college. Not sure though. Since I dropped out, theres some complications. But I'll make some adjustments. I can work it out."

"Thats good to hear. Im happy for you." He smiled at me. He placed his hand on mine.

"Thanks papi."

"Dont give up your dream okay. You're a great artist." I smiled widely.

"Ill be right there." My dad told them. "Ill see you soon okay. Be careful." He got up and hugged me.

"Si papi. Te querio." I helped him with the plates and went my way. I made it to the clubhouse, walking past kids, junkies and families. I opened the door to the club and saw everyone coming out of the table.

"Marisol!" I turned to see Bishop walking towards me.

"Bishop, whats up?" I pushed my hair back.
