Ez went on a short errand, leaving me and Angel home. I havent gotten a single text from Coco. It kinda scared me, did I get him more angry? I had to put him in his place, it wasn't acceptable. He pushed Chucky for crying out loud.
"Want one?" Angel tossed me the cigarette box as he took a sip of his drink. I pulled one out as he passed me the lighter. "What you say to Coco?"
"Hopefully he got the memo." I drew the bud to my lips. The door opens and Ez gave us an envelope. Angel was scanning through, giving me the papers as he finsihed, it was photos, a women and a boy. Ez was talking about Emily got it from Galindo.
"Where'd Galindo get this shit?" I said as i tossed the papers on the table.
"Palomo." Ez answered.
"To use against Potter to get Adelita back." Angel softens.
"Why'd Emily give it to you?" I asked as I looked up at Ez.

"I got one of Potter's texts last night." Ez walked around and sat in the chair near me. "Emily saw my reaction. I told her Potter was blackmailing us. Using Pops as leverage. She gave me this and said I could use it to free Pop if I promised not to hurt Miguel." Both Angel and I sighed. Knowing Ez, its gonna hurt Miguel any other way. "We use it to free Pop, Galindo won't be able to use it for Adelita." I looked at Angel, looking deep into the photos. "It's your call, Angel." I placed my hand on his.
"Fuck no."
"Yes, it is. I know how you feel about Adelita." I told him.
"Just say the word, hermano, and I'll shred all of this. We'll let Galindo play it out, use it to get Adelita back. But I had to bring this to you, give you the choice. No more secrets."
"This is on you Angel, your decision. We're just here to back you up." I said as I looked at him. Angel took a deep breath. There was no answer. Ez got up and went to the door.
"I'm gonna go check on Pop. You gonna come?" He pointed at me.
"No." I shook my head as i went to get the drink from Angel.
