Chapter 34: Celebration

Jungkook's POV

Light started seeping into the room and out of sensitivity, my eyelids naturally opened from the brightness. They stung as soon as I opened them, making me shut them close again. After a while, my eyes fluttered open. My mind was in a daze and I couldn't register my surroundings. My face laid on his bare chest as he protectively held me close. My eyes softened at the sight in front of me. Although waking up beside Jimin was normal, today was different. I saw him in a new light and I felt fuzzy inside. The beautiful sight in front of me made me feel all sorts of emotions and it warmed my heart. Unconsciously, I cuddled with him closer as my bare body was getting affected by the crisp air. Out of reflex, Jimin pulled the sheets higher, covering both mine and his naked bodies as our body heat enveloped both of us. As he tightened his hold on me, the events of last night played in my head making my cheeks go hot. Both of us were currently tangled in these sheets, trying to cover ourselves to protect us from the cold. That was why I was squashed against him, but I didn't mind. Jimin's skin felt like I was touching fire - that's how hot he felt - which was why I felt warm. That and him being beside would always make me feel warm. Automatically, my eyes closed out of fatigue and I felt myself drifting back to sleep as I inhaled Jimin's scent.

I felt delicate fingers tangled in my hair. The soft brushing of it made me feel at bliss as I stayed there enjoying the feeling. From the way the fingers moved, I recognised who it was. Without registering, I kissed his bare chest which halted his movement. Before I realised it, he hugged me closer as he planted a kiss on my now exposed forehead. Slowly, I opened my droopy eyes and was met with his. The close proximity of his face to mine made a faint smile dance on my lips.

"Morning," he softly spoke as he brushed a lock of my hair behind my ear.

"Morning," I replied with a small yawn.

I saw his eyes soften. He rested his forehead on mine as he interlocked our fingers.

"Thank you Jungkook, for letting me. That was brave of you to do that," he said and I could clearly hear the gratitude in his voice.

"Of course. Like I said, as long as it's you I don't care," I sternly told him.

That caused him to smile.

"Regret it?" he randomly asked.

"Never," I didn't hesitate to say, which caused his smile to go bigger.

"You're too cute," he snuggled close to me.

His forehead rested on my shoulder as my arm was over his torso. I held the covers closer to us as I felt the air getting colder. My legs were practically tangled with his, so it was only my upper body that was being affected by the cold.

"We should take a shower and put some clothes on before we get a cold," Jimin said as he yawned.

"I'm too lazy to get up now," I mumbled in his chest.

"When are you not?" He snorted at me.

I hit his bare chest, making him laugh.

"I'm too cold to get up now," I whined.

He hugged me tighter out of response.

"We're gonna have to wake up sooner than later."

"When that time comes you can drag me out."

We both fell into a comfortable silence. Just this made me feel content. When I opened my eyes, they landed on the metal band that was around my finger. A smile grew on my face.

"Jimin," I whispered, afraid he was asleep.

"Yeah," he responded.

"Or should I call you fiance?" I tried it out on my tongue.
