Chapter 14: Embarrassed and shy

Narrator's POV

After that whole waterwork session, they were both worn out, Jungkook specifically. He let out soo much water that he could survive on it for a month at least. They ended up packing up their school work and instead ordered food, so Jungkook could eat away his sorrow (mood). The atmosphere was full of comfort and tranquility as they ate and watched T.V. No words were needed to be spoken because just being beside each other made them both feel content. Jungkook wanted time to stop so he could relish the moment forever.

They decided to call it a night after they realised it was getting really late. Not wanting to leave, Jimin ended up staying for the night and Jungkook obviously didn't mind. For the first time ever, Jungkook completely ditched the exercise routine he usually did before bed. Completely worn out from all the crying, Jungkook crashed into bed as soon as he brushed his teeth. Jimin followed and they both ended up falling asleep, forgetting about the pillow they usually placed in the middle.

The sunlight shone through the gaps of the curtain, lighting up the whole room. It was a morning with the absence of the usual alarm as it wasn't a school day. It was a teacher training day so no one had school, which meant everyone could sleep in and they wouldn't get in trouble.

Jimin's eyes squinted from the sudden bright light. After adjusting to the light, he snapped out of the dream world and into reality. His eyes wandered around the room until his eyes fixated onto the sleeping figure beside him. He was surprised at the close proximity between the two. That was when he realised the arms that were firmly wrapped around his waist as well as his own arms which were around the others shoulders. Despite the situation being the exact same to what happened in his house, he still became flustered. It was probably because Jungkook's muscular arms were tightly wrapped around his waist. Unlike last time, his cheeks started feeling hot and he unintentionally gulped. His heart started racing when Jungkook slightly moved. Slowly and carefully, he tried slipping out of his grasp, but that completely failed as it just made Jungkook stir. When Jimin saw Jungkook's eyes flutter open, he was sent into panic mode and did the only logical thing he thought at that moment, he instantly closed his eyes shut.

Jungkook cutely let out a small yawn after he opened his eyes. After a good couple of minutes, he finally acknowledged the face that was right in front of him. He was completely startled. Jimin's face was soo close to his that he could feel Jimin's slow breathing. This sent Jungkook into panic mode. He then realised his arms were around Jimin's and quickly retracted them. He was going to get up, but Jimin's arm was around him and he didn't know what to do. Jimin felt sad from the sudden warmth gone from him but he ignored that and decided to end the younger's misery as he pretended to wake up and smoothly retract his arms during the process. Jungkook tried covering up his panicked face, which sort of failed as his cheeks were pink, but he still tried shaking it off. Jimin suppressed the chuckle that he was going to release after seeing Jungkook's flustered state and instead did a stretch as he let out a yawn.

"Good morning Jungkook," Jimin decided to be the one to start the conversation since he knew how shy Jungkook was at that moment.

"G-good morning hyung," Jungkook unintentionally stuttered and felt embarrassed from stuttering.

Jimin wanted to gush at how cute Jungkook was being, but decided to not tease the young boy otherwise he probably would have had a meltdown.

Slowly, Jungkook got out of bed, wanting to take a shower to wake himself up. Jimin decided to stay in bed as the younger showered. Having a day off school was a rare occasion, so Jimin thought why not use it wisely by having quality time with the wonderful bed. He thought it was a great opportunity lazy, so he remained in bed and didn't do anything - well more like didn't want to do anything. Students need a break from time to time and although they had weekends, it felt different when you took a day off of school in the middle of the week - only students would understand this. After what felt like hours but was only 45 minutes, Jimin was finally awake and not sleepy, so he got out of bed. When he stood up, he stretched his whole body to make his blood circulate properly. Even though he wasn't looking at a mirror, he knew his pink hair was all over the place.
