Chapter 20: Warmth

Narrator's POV

When it was the next day, Jin and Namjoon rushed to school. Because Jin was extremely exhausted from the intense day he had, he ended up sleeping longer than usual. Therefore, he didn't hear the alarm. Namjoon was beside Jin and was also asleep as he wasn't much of a morning person. That's why when Jin woke up and looked at the time, he sprinted out of bed and woke Namjoon up.

Luckily, they reached just before the gates closed. Jin was out of breath, so he stopped to catch his breath. After calming down, both Jin and Namjoon separated and went to their homeroom.

At break, everyone was surprised to see Jin all tired. His hair was dishevelled and he looked exhausted. Namjoon, although looked messy, didn't look that tired. They would have teased them both about something inappropriate, but they didn't say anything because Jin looked extremely tired and deep in thought.

"Hyung, are you okay?" Taehyung asked him.

"Yeah...I'm fine," he said after he rubbed his hands over his face.

"Why are you soo tired? Didn't you sleep?" Yoongi asked.

"Wait a minute. Where's Jungkook?" Hoseok asked over Yoongi after he realised the younger's absence.

Before he could answer the question, the bell cut him off.

"I'll tell you guys at lunch," he told them.

Everyone was confused. Jungkook never missed school before. Jimin went silent. He's not at school? What happened? He never misses school, even when he's ill. Jimin quickly shook his thoughts away when he realised what he was thinking about.

Jin quickly walked to his class before he spilled the beans. I'll tell them at lunch.

When it was finally lunchtime, Jin trudged out of his class and headed to the canteen. Everyone was already sitting at the table, waiting for Jin to come. When he scanned the table, he realised Jimin wasn't there.

"Where's Jimin?" he asked all of them.

"I don't know. He left us as soon as the bell went," Taehyung shrugged.

That brat. I need to have a talk with him.

"I guess I could tell him later," he said as he sat down.

Everyone sat up straight as they saw how serious Jin looked.

"Hyung, you're scaring us. What's the matter?" Namjoon asked, who was next to him.

"Jungkook's in the hospital," Jin finally said.

There was a brief silence before chaos broke out.

"What!!" Everyone screamed.

Jin frantically looked around as the canteen went quiet.

"Be quiet," Jin hissed at all of them.

He looked back around and sighed.

"Can everyone stop listening?" Jin shouted out loud so everyone could hear.

Everyone heard the growl in Jin's voice, which scared them. Out of fear, all the students looked away and resumed their conversations.

"Why is he in the hospital? Is he okay?" Hoseok quickly asked once Jin's focus was back onto them.

"Calm down. He's fine. I took him to the hospital yesterday."

"But what's wrong with him?" Yoongi asked, evidently concerned.

"He had a major anxiety attack in front of me," he breathed out.
