Jungkook's POV

Currently I was at home studying with Jimin hyung. It was already 10pm, which meant that we 'studied' for about 4 hours. Of course with Jimin hyung, we didn't actually. There were some breaks, okay a LOT of breaks. Like whenever he started talking, we both got distracted and ended up talking and laughing and then we remembered what we were doing and resumed back to our work. And of course we would order something. Whenever we ate together, he would always show me new food or 'great food' because apparently due to my 'healthy' eating, I missed out on a lot. Not that I'm complaining because they were all delicious.

Since it was late, it was already time for him to go. Obviously the offer of him staying here was on the table, but he told me that something important was tomorrow, so I understood. It was a Saturday night, so I would see him probably on Monday since when he told me something was happening on Sunday, I could tell it was big and he probably wouldn't have time to speak to me.

I waved goodbye to him and he returned the action as I closed the door. I tidied up before doing some stretches and then I quickly took a shower before jumping into bed.

I grabbed my phone, and sent Jimin hyung a goodnight message. It didn't even take a minute and I got a reply. A small smile grew on my face as I closed my eyes and drifted off to sleep.

~

It was Monday and I was woken up by my alarm. After I switched it off, I got ready before leaving my house. Unlike every other day, I decided to not listen to music. Why? To be honest, I didn't really know. I just thought today I shouldn't. Instead, I heard the outside world. As I walked to my bus stop, I heard the birds chirping as well as the soft sounds of the trees as it followed the rhythm of the wind. Of course once I sat on the bus, all I heard was the engine roaring and the busyness of the city.

When I entered the classroom, I sat in my seat and whipped out my sketchbook. For the past few days I didn't really have time to draw due to a lot of deadlines and homework as well hanging out, so finally being able to draw made me extremely happy.

For the first time, I didn't look at something as I drew. Instead I went freestyle and drew from my imagination. I normally never do that.

I looked at my sketch after I finished. It looked very... happy. Although it was done in pencil, I could see colours and the image coming to life. Very different to my normal drawings.

My thoughts were interrupted as I heard sudden footsteps. That was when I realised something. My eyes darted to the empty seat next to me. Where was Jimin hyung? The footsteps I heard was just the usual stampede of the other students. As they burst inside the classroom, I was lost in thought as I hid my sketchbook under my books. My mind wandered to last night.

Flashback

It was night time. I was already in my bed, ready to sleep, but then I remembered Jimin. I quickly sent him a goodnight message and waited for a response. It was weird because he would have sent me a message by now. Maybe he was still preoccupied with that important thing?

I waited a few more minutes, but there was still no reply. I concluded that maybe he was still busy, so I left it and went to sleep.

When I woke up, I did check my phone but there was still no response and my message was still unread. I'm probably looking into things too deeply, I'll ask him at school.

Flashback End

Why wasn't he in today? Did something happen?  Slyly, I took my phone out and texted him, asking if he was okay. I wasn't waiting for an immediate response, so I stuffed my phone back into my pockets.
