Ruby's POV

We went out to eat, took her to my favorite spot, went to arcades, won prizes, went to the carnival, I swear I took her everywhere in the city. As we walked down the beach back towards my bike we laughed, talked, climbed on some large rocks that separated the sand from the water. We watched as fireworks went off, red, blue, and purple, where the main colors. I told one of my Butler's my plans and he said he could makes it happen. We where about to reach the parking lot when some guys walked up "you sure this is their kid" one of them said "ya she looks just like em".

Sapphire grabbed on my arm hiding behind me, so I thought they where after her "you Ruby ain't ya" I slowly nodded. You know your parents owe our boss some stuff", I kept a straight face "what are you talking about", I was confused. One of the guys laughed "yo parents was runnin the biggest and strongest gang in the world" he kept laughing, this guy was obviously on crack, my parents where famous actors, singers, and dancers.

They aren't in a gang, that isn't like them, they do nice, not cruel like gang leaders would be. I stayed quiet and grabbed Sapphire's hand, "you have the wrong person, we are leaving" one of them flashed his gun like am I supposed to be scared of that, cause I'm not. "We are leaving" I said once again, w them they actually pulled their guns out and pointed them at us. I pushed Sapphire behind me and whispered something too her "Sapphy, when they attack take my bike and go to home, okay" she slowly nodded. One of the guys glared at me and I glared back "you are gonna go with us" I just glared "no thanks I'll pass".

He laughed lightly "you thought you had a choice"...

He shot me in the arm, but I didn't flinch at that "Sapphy go", and with that I charged at one of them and cracked his skull opened on the ground, I think he died....I turned to the other two who started to shoot at me, I dodged the few bullets they shoot at me and grabbed one guys wrist breaking it. Then I took the gun from him shot him six times in the chest and when it didn't shoot anymore I bashed his head in with the barrel of the gun.

Then turned to the last guy who spoke "geez your a lot like boss, your ma and pa", I paused "why do you keep saying that", he looked at his dead friends "we where coming to get you the day those bastards broke in and killed your parents. The cops got there before we could, and we ain't to find of cops". I calmed down "if they where in a gang why didn't they fight back" he paused "I don't know, but your their kid the next leader of your family's gang". I sighed "so who where you to my parents" who looked shocked them face palmed himself "sorry, I was their right hand man, my name is Nexus" I looked at the dead guys on the ground "and them". He laughed nervously "they where some random guy in the gang I brought with me incase things went South" I looked back at him "so expendable" he nodded again "ya". "So why the heck did you shoot at me" he looked to the side "well if you where really their kid you would've done what you just did now, it's instinct", I started to walk home and Nexus followed. I looked at him "what do you want now" he laughed "I'm your right hand man I HAVE to follow you", he was telling me about the gang, how they dress, and about the gang colors which is red, and about the tattoo my parents put on my right arm when I was two years old,

they had there's on there arm like me. They said it was a family thing. Nexus told me everything "oh boss you gotta meet the gang" I looked at him "later, gotta get home first". I picked him up bridal style and fire traveled home in under a second, I walked inside and Sapphire ran into my arms scared. I looked passed her to see some guys laughing, I glared at them "who the hell are they Nexus". Sapphire had her face barred in my shoulder, Nexus called or to the guys and said something, but whatever he said scared them so much they started to apologise and been for their lives. I shrugged them off and looked back to Sapphire.

Sapphire's POV

Ruby said something about a 'Nexus' and someone was apologizing like there was no tomorrow. Ruby then whispered in my ear "Nexus will take you upstairs, I'll get you're McDonald's....Okay" I nodded then looked up to kiss her cheeck "thank you Ruby" she smiled "anything for you". She looked up "Nexus take her to my room and make sure she's okay", I wondered who Nexus was then I looked to see who Ruby was talking too.

He walked me to the room but then asked if I wanted to meet the gang, I agreed and he left the room saying be down in two months to meet everyone. I was nervous but at least Ruby would be there....
