MADELEINE COULDN'T REMEMBER HOW SHE ENDED UP IN THE WOODS. Yet, somehow she was walking in depths of the forest she didn't recognise, still in her pyjamas. Madeleine didn't feel like she had an direction but her body knew where it was going. She felt a magnetic pull that led her to a house that wasn't familiar. It looked abandoned based on the broken windows and water stains. Madeleine felt the house pulsate like it had it's own heartbeat. She neared the door. When she reached for the knob it opened for her like a silent invitation. Inside looked just as desolate. Cobwebs and moth balls decorated the ancient house.

Madeleine didn't know what she was looking for but she heard it whispering for her. The house had countless doors. It would take her forever to find whatever she was looking for if the spirits weren't whispering and telling her where to go. She followed the voices to a door by the back window. It opened with the same magical gravitas as the front door. She descended the stairs, feeling the voices getting louder with every step. She turned the corner. There were four coffins. Klaus' coffins. Madeleine could sense the magic off of them, but there was one swarming with a different energy.

Madeleine tiptoed closer to the coffin that sang with vitality. It opened without struggle. Laying peacefully on white satin, was Elijah. Madeleine had forgotten how charming he looked. Elijah had one hand clasped over the other and implanted between them was the very necklace that she wore. Madeleine checked her neck for the pendant but it was gone. Why did he have it? Madeleine reached for it, only touching the stone with the tip of her finger. She released a large gasp as malevolent energy coursed through her body. Flashes of violence and angry and screaming filled her head, only recognising the Mikaelson's in these images.

When she gasped again, Madeleine wasn't in the house, she was in her own bed, having woke up again from her nightmare.

Madeleine knew she couldn't ignore her dream. She would love to, but she couldn't. Some dreams are random amalgamations of TV shows and past memories, and others are omens sent by dead witches to tell you to get your ass in gear. This was the latter.

Since Madeleine had no idea where this house was in the middle of the woods, she had to trust her power to lead her there. Madeleine rarely actively channelled her magic. She typically used it for self-defence rather than listening to nature. As she stood in the woods, with a million directions, she inhaled. She listened to the birds chirp and the leaves rustle, the cicada's hum and the water babble. She drank in nature and let it fuel her. She opened her eyes and it was like she could see the string between her and the house. She followed it.

The house looked exactly like it did in her dream. Completely identical. Everything played out just as it did before, Madeleine wasn't sure that she wasn't still dreaming.

She went to open the door again but this time something felt different. There was someone here. The steps of the porch creaked under someone's foot and Madeleine jumped. "Bonnie? What are you doing here?"
