"John, what number beer is that?" Jaren's voice was laced with concern as he watched John sit in his room, opening another can of beer. His hair was a mess and most of the lights in his room were turned off, save the LED light strip circling the perimeter of his room, which blended from one color into the next and dousing John in a muted rainbow. He shrugged in response to Jaren's question and continued to drink as his screen flashed, showing the game he was playing was ready. He was queued for a game of Rainbow 6 Seige, but he wasn't playing with any of their usual friends. Jaren entered the room and sat on John's bed next to him and lowered the drink from his friend's mouth.

"What's going on?" Jaren asked softly, and John looked at him confused. "You don't usually drink this much, and I'm worried. So what's going on?" John turned to face the screen and took another swig from his can of beer.

"I'm fine, man. Look, my game just started..."

        "John, c'mon."

"What, I'm fine." He said and picked up his controller, trying to ignore Jaren. Jaren was not having it and stood directly in front of the screen with his arms crossed.

"Dude move!" John threw up his hands and desperately tried to look around him.

"Not until you tell me what's wrong." The light changed and drenched them in a deep red.

"Ugh, what do you want from me?! Fine! I'm in a complete burnout out! I've completely lost all motivation for videos! I have no idea what I'm doing or who I am anymore! Is that what you wanted?!" Jaren sat back on the bed next to John, who was now on the verge of tears. "I'm just... lost." He let a tear fall down his face, and Jaren lifted his hand to gently wipe it away. He let his hand linger a bit, resting it softly on John's face.

"Hey, it's alright. I know who you are. You, John, are the best and most genuine person I have ever met. I also know just how strong you are. You'll come back from this. You know that. You've done it before. All it takes is a bit of time. And definitely," He grabbed the beer from John's hand, who gave it willingly. ", not more alcohol."

"I know. You're right. I'm sorry." John looked away from Jaren, but Jaren's remaining hand lifted his head back up to look at him in the eyes.

"Don't be." The light melted into a crystal blue, and as John looked into Jaren's eyes, he felt like himself for a moment.

"Your eyes are so pretty." He admitted, and Jaren was confused.

"What?" Before Jaren could ask any more, John closed the distance between the two. Jaren, at first, was shocked. But after a moment, he deepened the kiss. They separated in order to catch their breath and John smiled.

        "Thank you." He breathed.

"For the kiss or the words?"

        "Both."

Wow, it's been a while. So, like, sorry for how long it's been since I've written here. I feel like I've neglected this story in light of finding and writing about a new fandom. I'm just going to say it now though, I am planning to write more about that fandom than Krii7y as of now, since I am more deeply immersed in that fandom than this, but this will be where I will put my ideas that I want to write that I can't contextualize into my other stories. Also, I wanna apologize for the length of this one-shot. It's super short. I know. But, I was bored and just finished my other book, so I wrote out my problems here. Once again, I'm not promising super frequent updates to this, but trust me when I tell you that I did not forget about this book, and I did not forget about you guys, my loyal readers, that have come back to my pitiful writing after almost 2 months. Thank you for sticking with me, I hope you have a good day/night, and you are lovely.
