Damien's P~O~V

And my eyes becam black and I rushed to the hospital in full speed stopping in front of a room and I came into the room to see the doctor and nurses looking depressed as the doctor put white sheet over the girl's head declarind 'she's dead'

Chapter 20

Skye's P~O~V (An hour before Damien in the exact same room)

I was woken from my drugged slumber when a nurse fear edged in her features shook me till I woke up.

"Are you from the Burns sect.?" she asked in a whisper frantically as soon as I was fully awake.

Though before she could say anything a hand clasped my arm and forcefully dragged me outside and into a black van.

In my mind I was going crazy while on the outside I stayed calm and waited for who ever this was to tell me why they were abducting me.

After the car had pulled away from the hospital all of a sudden I was truely awake when I realized that the person that had just abducted me was no one other then my boyfriend and thr now grinning jerk sitting right in front of me: Xavier.

"What the hell's all this about?" I asked him as a traitorous little smile edged on my face.

"Well you didn't think I wouldn't check up on you from time to time now did you?" he asked goofily and then his face became serious all of a sudden.

"But to think that bastard actually did something as severe that who have to be admitted to the hospital! How did that happen to you by the way?" he asked angry and pointing at the little wound that would most likely leave a scar of some sort.

"Never mind it's nothing really" I said trying to wave it off, but knowing Xavier and the look on his face I knew he would not back down.

But seeing as telling him about last night would mean I have to tell him about my night mare-ish dream from my childhood which I'd always felt very protective towards, I decided to do something that was gonna haunt for eternity perhaps.

"I found my mate" I said all of a sudden closing my eyes tight not wanting to see that expression I'd seen on his face the last time I'd told him Tanner was my mate.

But when I opened my eyes I still saw the non-chalant Xavier with nothing amiss in his features and I wasn't surprised when he replied my sudden outburst with a, "So, like that changes anything you're still girlfriend and will remain so."

"But-" I started but was cut off when Xavier smashed his lips on to mine and all I can do is respond to his kiss because my stupid panther doesn't feel this is wrong.

IN FACT she's urging me to continue: so I do the only thing I can, I faint.

Damine's P~O~V

As soon as those cursed words come out of the doctor's mouth, I don't know what comes over me and all of a sudden a flashback of when my birth mother jumped off the cliff comes to mind and I still remember that little who'd jumped off after my mother and the way my father and I both reacted after we'd realized both my mother and that girl were gone for ever.

What was worse was that unlike my bastard of a father I wasn't greiving over my mother's death but the little girl who had stopped me from jumping after my mother and then hurt by my glare, she'd jumped off the cliff as well.

And as my vision was once more clouded a dark red colour I bardged into the room and held the doctor by his collar and demanded he try again and that she just can't be dead.

And then I pulled the sheet off of her head and looked down as tears came out of my eyes, only to freeze in place.

Because instead of the beautiful girl I'd treated really bably and then abandoned last night, I saw and old lady with the same height and colour hair as Skylar.

As I realized my mistake my face became a beet red and I apologized to the doctors and found out that a relative had come and picked up the girl that was staying in this room before the old lady about an hour ago.

And as I got out of the hospital I had a feeling that Vince would kill me once I get back home.

But like the saying goes: Speak of the Devil and her THEY come

As soon as Vince caught up with me he punched me hard  on the face, though what shocked me was that he was demanding for his sister.

'But didn't he just pick his sister up an hour ago?' I though as Vince punched me once more in the gut.......and man did THAT hurt.

"Didn't you pick your sister up already?" I asked loudly flinching as the pain shot up through my body.

"YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO BE THE ONE TO PICK MY SISTER UP!" He yelled getting in a bit of control.

And just as Vince was about to hit me once more his cell phone suddenly rang.

"Hello?" Vince said on the phone calming his voice down a bit as to not scare the other person off.

"Bro?" asked Skylar's voice from the other end of the connection and I straightened up and eagerly awaited to hear what had happened to her if she was alright.

"Skylar, where are you? Why didn't you come home last night? What happened to you? Did Damien do something to you?" Vince asked frantically over the phone glaring at me while clutching tightly to my collar.

"I'm alright, I'm at a frien's house, no Damien didn't anything to me but I trip and well got a teeny tiny scar and don't I'll come home by night fall." she said before the line disconnected and Vince looked at me with guilt.

While all I could do was hide my confusion since I didn't understand why she didn't tell Vince about what I did to her and why the nurse lied to me about her relative picking her up?

But for now all I'd wanted to do was go home and have a cold as ice shower to calm my nerves and agravated wolf down.
