The world suddenly went a whole lot darker. Who'd have thought how much a person one hasn't seen for 12 years could matter to them after a year with them in their life. Helena felt like she was dying. And she was. Terence and her father kept her alive. But she still felt the pain feed off her heart. She was most definitely dying.
But of course.. She wouldn't dare to tell them. They would miss her. And she wouldn't want them to feel the same way she did. Ever. Therefore she stayed and she stayed the same on the outside.
Her brokenness a secret hidden deep within.

When the news of Dumbledore dying, killed by her favorite Professor and Harry and his friends moving out to destroy the horcruxes reached their ears, it cracked Helena's heart even more. It was torturous to destroy a horcrux. And they had many to destroy. And all they could do is wait.

Helena knew how much the others hated her uncle Severus. But she knew better. She knew he only ever did every little thing for one purpose. For Lily. Her mother.
She felt it in her heart, the worst was yet to come.

And of course she had to be right. When Aberforth's patronus arrived they geared up to join the last war effort.

Helena stands in front of Terence. Their fingers laced together like they were on their wedding night. "I love you so much, Ter.", she whispers. He smiles. "I love you too. More than you could ever imagine, Hel." She wraps her arms around his neck and they share a kiss. He holds her tightly to his chest. His hands shaking slightly. "I never knew how you Gryffindors could handle any match, even quidditch, without nearly shitting your pants." "Honestly... Me neither. If it was up to me I would just disappear. Together with you. Maybe have a kid or two..." Terence smiles. Wrapping his arms around his wife. "We'll make sure to do that after this is all over. I can't wait to see you with a nice, round belly. You'll be the best mother any child could wish for." A tear leaves her eyes. "And you the best father." They share another kiss.
Only a few more minutes until they had to go.

Terence walks over to the record player in their living room. Their song starts playing. The one they had danced to on their wedding night. He bows slightly, offering her his hand. "May I have this dance, my love?" Helena smiles. "Of course, my love." She takes his hand and they sway through the room, dancing closely together. Share a few kisses and with the next crescendo they apparate.

"Helena. Terence. Good." They hug the Lupins and prepare themselves. Harry walks closer to them. "Helena." She looks at him. "Yes?" "I love you." And she relents. No barriers around her heart could repell those words. She wraps him up in her arms and kisses his forehead. "I love you too.... Little brother."

Then they begin their last march. She walks at the very front. After all... she was a true blooded Potter.

"It appears, despite the efforts, you still have a security leak in your building! How dare you! How dare you stand were he stood?! He trusted you! And you killed him!"

The Crow siblings are trying to comment on him, being alone, when Helena leads the order of the phoenix into the great hall. Her raven curls wild. Fire in her eyes. "Hands off my brother, you cunts.", she snarls and both her and Terence attack. The siblings send the unforgivable curses at them, but the couple works together like a well oiled machine. When a curse narrowly avoids Terence Helena snaps. "Mortaes!", she yells out her self created killing curse that also avoids the victims becoming ghosts, portraits or having any connection with the world of the living. It hits the sister right in the chest and she dies then and there. Quickly Terence eliminates the brother the same way before he can flee, while Helenas favorite Professor, after exchanging a look with her, does just that. "Helena!" Breaking out of the formation of Slytherins, Draco walks towards her slowly. Without hesitation the girl hurries over to him and wraps him up in her arms. "Are you fine? Unharmed?", she asks, tilting his face every angle possible to check for possible damage. Draco nods. "I'm fine." "Thank Merlin! I'd kill them all if there was a scratch on you." She hugs him again, then snatches up Blaise in a hug as well. "And you must have been the one to keep him safe. Merlin. If I wasn't married I'd kiss you." Blaise flushes a deep red, trying to escape the embrace. "Give up, boy. She hugs you when and how ever long she wants to. You two are her babies in her eyes now. Get comfortable with that idea.", Terence comments in amusement and for a moment the spirits have lifted.
