"Wow! It's beautiful! But... how did you–" I'm silenced by a cold finger on my lips.
"Stop asking questions." Alex's tenebrous gaze dives mischievously in mine. "You know that curiosity killed the cat..." He traces slowly the outline of my lips, and they unconsciously part.
I don't even remember the magical surroundings. I'm just staring hypnotized at the sight of his eyes, much more mystical than anything around with their deep intensity and everything they arouse in my body. My heart is taking this unique, fast yet peaceful, uneven pace that only Alex can settle. My breath seems nonexistent; my skin is burning, and my mind is blank. I could literally stay in this daze forever.
But Alex breaks our trance, which is surely safer for my sanity or even my breathing, though I start doubting it when he takes off his jacket. Therefore, I force myself to look away, taking the opportunity to regain composure and visit the room.
I stop by the window, watching in awe the woods surrounding the place forming a dark valley, and above the shiny stars illuminating this darkness, and when I lift my head the view is even more beautiful. A glass roof lets appear the clear starry sky, offering a magical lighting to the room with millions of little lights making us feel so small in the infinite of the universe.
Alex removes my jacket while I'm lost in this dreamy sky, and a sultry kiss on my bare shoulder makes me come back to earth in a shiver.
I watch Alex put my jacket on the light beige couch, contrasting with the wooden walls. The whole room is mixing raw wood with modern light colors, providing a nice cozy atmosphere, which fits perfectly the theme of this little elevated cabin.
My eyes wander around the room, gliding over the couch in the corner, the coffee table, the desk, and the little dressing table, all strewed with a few candles, and then, the bed... My eyes stop on the king-size bed covered with silky-smooth white sheets.
"Don't worry, I can take the couch. I didn't bring you here for this... I just want to end the night in a place that is almost matching your beauty." He catches my gaze with his piercing eyes holding a sincerity that makes my heart skip a beat.
"I know... I trust you."
My heart is screaming another three words sentence as I take a step toward him.
"But... I'm ready." A swarm of butterflies rushes in my stomach, thrill, eagerness, and nervosity mixing, and I grab his hand as I hold his penetrating gaze to show him my confidence.
"You're sure? I don't want you to feel obliged," he asks, taking a step closer, but never wavering his gaze from mine.
"Yes, I mean... if you want... I don't have experience..." I stutter, looking down.
He puts gently two fingers under my chin and makes me meet his intense eyes observing me attentively. I'm too dazzled to try to read what his gaze means, so I decide to trust the loud thumps of my heart.
"It's my first," I breathe out. " I totally understand if you don't want–"
He places his lips on mine in a soft, slow peck, the feeling as light as a feather, as if our lips almost don't touch, yet with an incredibly deep intensity.
"I've never wanted something, someone, so much in my life." His dark eyes are staring at me intensely, so close that I can see all the sparkles and shades of their darkness translating me the same as his words.
My heart about to explode, I close the small gap between our mouths, and I kiss him passionately, showing him all my desire with my lips.
He replies by grabbing keenly my hips, his fingers digging fiercely in the red tulle and pulling me closer.
The kiss is nothing like the ones we've shared before. It has another dimension, maybe because now, we both know the outcome; we're both eager for this 'more' as we rapidly stumble to the bed, our lips never leaving each other in the blissful whirlwind...
Until it becomes a mess of swollen, tired grins and heaving pants when we finally come down, and I can already feel Morpheus' arms engulfing me—an embrace almost as cozy as Alex's strong arms pulling me to his sweaty chest, the still fast rhythm of his heartbeat lulling me softly.
It's surely because of all this warmth that my dazed mind can't hold the scream of my heart as I whisper softly,
"I love you."
And the uneven thumps under my ear might be loud, but I swear a faraway murmur rises above them before I fall into a deep slumber.
"I love you too, Miss Cutie."
