Adrenaline coursed through my veins like I was freefalling, grasping with desperation for any sense of stability or control I could claim as my own. A cacophony of roaring questions haphazardly  meshed with the nerve wracking flashing of cameras eager to get the perfect shot, which breed chaos atop the carpet stained a crimson red. My entire body felt an ocean of gawking eyes as if it were a tangible humidity clinging to my skin like I was standing helplessly idle amidst the sun's scorching heat.

Jesus Christ, and here I was thinking that I'd experienced stressful movie premieres before. Holy fuck.

"Stell! Stell!" A sugar sweet voice pierced through the swarm of deafening cries and instantaneously sent a wave of relief trickling like warm honey down my insides; feeling like a breath of crisp, fresh air within my barren lungs hungry for relief.

Chrissy.

"Evans!" I laughed wholeheartedly from my gut with a bright smile spreading across my now flushed cheeks, the very sight of his bubbly grin and sparkling eyes luring me closer towards him as if he were a magnet and I was caught in his irresistible pull.

Our bodies couldn't help but lurch towards one another with clasping arms as an instantaneous response to our eyes catching a mere glimpse of each other. Exhaling a cathartic sigh, the warmth of his body saturated my skin guiltily enveloping him within my eager embrace, all while my internal thoughts scolded the all to obvious hunger for him radiating from my mannerisms.

"I can't believe it's actually here! We did it!" I beamed with a grin nearly emitting a visible glow spreading across the apples of my cheeks, my mind finally managing to ignite the fire of realization within the maelstrom of pulsating thoughts. The realness of it all seemed far too surreal to be true, but that's the unfathomable thing I couldn't seem to accept, it was. All of it. I did it, I really did.

"It seems like just yesterday-" Chris began hesitantly releasing me from his iron grip and delicately taking my shoulders within his grasp, staring contently at the innocent, childlike joy radiating from my smile and the reflection of the camera's flashes illuminating my eyes. It was in this moment of time standing completely still he tried with every ounce of his being to resist the geyser of bubbling emotion threatening to burst.

She's perfect, she's absolutely perfect in every single way. She's the one. God I just know it.

"Fitzgerald! Ms. Fitzgerald! Over here! Over here!" Came from a chorus of desperate hollers struggling to dominate the ocean of deafening cries. In a matter of seconds, the once refreshing, short lived moment, was shattered like fine china when both our heads were turned by the nerve wracking sound my ears had grown to loath.

"Y-yes, h-hi! How are you guys tonight?" I choked out resembling none other than a deer caught in the headlights when my overwhelmed eyes, drowning amidst the myriad of blurred colors and faces,  noticed the amount of cameras focusing their hungry lenses preying on my vulnerable state.
