Person B: Something like that.

Chapter Forty:

"Hank relax. You are just meeting my brother, not my parents."

Okay Hank knows he can be overdramatic sometimes but he knows this is important. He never had any siblings but he knows that sometimes, it's better to get on the brother's good side then the parents. Siblings have no problem helping to kill someone and hiding the body if they break their heart.

And from the stories Alex told him about Scott, he can be protective and they are very close. Like the kind of sibling bond that all siblings want but never act on it accept these ones. However from the sounds of it, Alex's older brother married a guy that is ten times scarier. Alex says he's actually a sweetheart once you get to truly know him but Hank doesn't think that helped sooth him very much.

"I know, it's just I know this is important to you and you want Scott to like me and I want to be on his good side and in this case, I think meeting the brother is more terrifying than meeting the parents. Because if I don't give a good impression then-"

Alex chuckles before kissing him silent. Alex seems to be very good at that.

"Hey, come on this is going to be fine. Honestly you're way better than the last guy I dated. Also I already told him the good stuff about you." He says and Hank finds himself nodding with his words. "Okay." He says as he adjusts the jacket on him.

"Do I look okay?" He asks and the blond rolls his eyes before giving him a fond look. "You look perfect. We are just meeting up at a café, where everyone knows Scott and I, and the owners might also be a bit protective." Alex admits and makes a face.

"I'm doomed." Hank says.

"Hey, hey, hey it's fine. I can text him and say we would rather meet somewhere else if you want?" He asks and the brunet shakes his head. "Nah, you're right I can do this." He says and Alex gives him a worried look that causes the brunet to pull him closer. "Are you sure?" He asks and he grins. "Yeah." He whispers softly before pulling his boyfriend into a kiss.

"Okay, is there anything else I need to know so I don't mess up?" He asks and Alex shakes his head. "Not that I can think of." He says with a frown and pulls away from his boyfriend, to grab his phone to double check his messages. Hank smiles before heading towards the bathroom. "Hank?"

The brunet pauses and turns to him. "Keep the glasses on." He says with a smile. Alright, he can do that.

"Well shall we get going?" He asks and Alex nods. "I take it your nervous as well?" He asks and the blond sighs before wrapping his arms around the brunet's neck. "I want him to like you. You are the best thing that ever happened to me and I love you." He says and Hank smiles. "I love you too."

He knew what Alex means. He doesn't want to mess this up either.

                                                                            ~*~

Hank parks the car and turns the engine off. They both don't immediately get out, Alex was busy staring at him with concern as the brunet keeps reminding himself to breathe so he doesn't panic. "Are you ready for this?" Alex asks with worried eyes and he smiles at him. "Yeah, I got this." He says and Alex giggles before taking his hand and pressing a kiss to his knuckles. "We've got this together. Just let me know if you need to go anytime. I can make up an excuse pretty quick." He says and Hank leans over to kiss him because he could.

"Thanks for letting me know." He responds, causing the blond to smile that Hank loves so much.

It was a little chilly this afternoon. People were hunched down, shoulders up to protect their ears and rush along so they could get to someplace warm. Hank didn't mind the cold, it was refreshing. He smiled when he felt Alex's hand slip into his and he gives the hand a squeeze as they walk down to get to the café. He could instantly see Scott through the big window if the brunet standing was any obvious indication and he opens the door, letting Alex in first. The blond shoots him a grateful look.

"Hey Scott." The blond says as he let's his older brother pull him into a hug. "Hey Alex, it's been a while. We need to hang out together more often." He says happily and Alex smiles as he grabs Hank's hand and pulls him closer. The brunet looks between the brothers and he shoots a quick glance at the other male that was still sitting at the table, eyeing him. "Really Scott, you just had to bring your husband didn't you?" Alex asks unimpressed and Scott raises his hands. "He wanted to come along, what was I supposed to say? No?" He asks and the blond sighs out of his nose in frustration before aiming a sweet smile at Logan. "Hey Logan." He greets and the man grins at him. "Hey kid, want to introduce your boyfriend here?" He asks.

Hank inches closer to Alex as the blond nods at him. "Scott, Logan this is Hank McCoy." He says before pulling him down to take a seat. "Hi, it's nice to meet you." He says and Logan nods. "You seem like a good person. You pass the first stage." He says while shrugging and Alex groans. "I'm sorry about them." He says and Hank smiles amused. "It's fine. It's good to know you got your brother to protect you and his husband of course." He adds and Logan raises an eyebrow.

"We always keep an eye on Alex. Like for instance I already told the waitress that we can't have tomatoes." He says. "Oh thanks, I'm still going to say it." Alex retorts and Hank grins. "Well, seems like you two know each other very well." The waitress comment as she comes up with two extra menus in her hands.

"Well, we've had the misfortune of knowing each other for like what .... 15? 17? Maybe 20 years?" Scott replies sarcastically. "Something like that." Alex replies in time, going along with it. She gives them a strange look and quickly hands them their menus before walking off. "I think you made her uncomfortable." Logan says and Scott gives him a look. "Why would we do that?" He asks and Hank snorts as he hides behind the menu at the look he gave him.

"I don't think she realized that we are siblings." Alex adds as he thinks about the encounter now that Logan commented on it.

Hank smiles as he watches them interact with each other. He was glad to see his boyfriend comfortable and joking around with them. He was the complete opposite when he met his parents last weekend.

"He's a good one kid. Keep him." Logan suddenly says and Alex gives him a confused look. "Thanks? I was planning to." He says, a blush rising on his cheeks. Hank feels flustered at Logan's wink and he gives him a nervous smile. Hank's heart skips a beat at his boyfriend's comment and smiles at him.

He has plans to keep Alex as well.

Forever is the plan.

Yeah, that sounds perfect.
