Following the narrow, circular stairs upwards a harsh wind hit you,
"Merlin's pants George where are we going it's brutal up here!" you grimaced, hugging your scarf around you tighter,
"Don't worry, just keep going." Unsure you went on, you trusted George but you also liked your fingers the colour they were and not blue and black with frost bite.
Finally, you reached another door, snow and wind was circling in under the bottom and you turned on the top step to look at your climbing partner.
He awkwardly put his hands on your waist and shimmed around you in the small space to get infront and unlock the door.
Surprisingly, he took your hand firmly and lead you out.
"Fucking hell I-" you were literally lost for worlds, George had lead you out and onto part of the roof.
Massive Spires and steeples towered below to and above you, towers brushed the snowy clouds either side of you and a very fresh wind hit you, you looked down and saw the thin path George was leading you along, further out there was a fence and as you came close you grabbed onto it.
"I- I actually have no words, Georgie."
"I've done what no man before has done," he laughed, "rendered you completely speechless. He looked annoyingly smug.
"How did you  know about this?"
"Come on, it's me, I know literally everything (Y/N)."
"Ok then, what's my favourite food" You said, crossing your arms,
"It was macaroni cheese until March, then it was the Strawberry Swirl Almond Whip ice cream from Florean Fortescue's and now it's the roast potatoes from the kitchens with a bit of salt and not too much gravy, but you always like Mum's leek and potato soup with her homemade bread." He answered,
"Oh," you really hadn't expected him to know, you changed your mind so often and so randomly you didn't expect a serious answer,
"I didn't know you knew that." you whispered.
"yeah well.." George said, looking out at
the white landscape,
"I do pay attention to some stuff. Especially when it comes to you." He was still looking intently at the grounds and you suspected he was avoiding eye contact.
"George," you began, "What's wrong?" it was a question but you said it in a way that suggested you were going to get an answer rather than ask for one.
"I-" he furrowed his brow and screwed up his face, thinking of the right words.
"I think your so cool. I mean, you're
so lovely yet you don't care about anything, people love you, you got Adrian Pucy to like you for
Merlin's sake! You're an amazing Quidditch player and a massive laugh and best of all, you're just like..." George blurted this out so fast you just about caught each word, your eyes and mouth were wide but his were still fixed.
"I don't know, you're like, everything good." he finished.
"George, what are y-"
"Sorry," he looked stricken, "Oh shit i'm really sorry (Y/N), i didn't mean to say all that!" he was little panicked, you'd never seem George like this and it was genuinely shocking, he babbled on without really thinking until you stopped him by raising yourself to your tiptoes and pressing your icy lips to his. The wind dropped, the snow ceased its continuous flakes and in that moment, it didn't matter you had lost feeling in your feet and fingers, because you were kissing George Weasley. Kissing George Weasley in a picture perfect scene.
