A Stab in the Soul

I didn't know it then, but I would soon would loose my ignorance. Though I had believed it to be truly gone already, once again the fear of growing up took over me.

The unfairness of this all was unbearable as I stood in the drawing room at Grimmuald Place.

What the heck is a drawing room, anyways? I mean, what in the name of Styx is it? Oh well.

Kreacher had told me yesterday that it was located in this house. I could feel the pressure getting closer as I pulled out my wand and went over to the dresser.

"Alohmora." I muttered, not afraid to get in trouble with the Ministry of Magic. Besides- I'm pretty sure that my home has enough guards in it to make the Ministry undetect the underage magic I just performed.

The drawer of the dresser opened with a swish. I sighed and noticed that there was in fact a locket in there.

I took a deep breath and picked up the locket with a near by wash rag- I was smart enough to not pick it up with my bare hands or my wand.

As soon as I put it on me, I regretted it....

FLASHBACK:

"No! Please, please! It's not fair!"

"You lied to me! Pain will come!"

A blood curdling scream filled the room, and I recognized it. It was my scream.

END OF FLASHBLACK:

I felt tears fall down my cheeks as I pulled the locket off, breaking the chain. I began to hyperventilate as I drawded out my sword.

My sword had the old of a basilisk on it; I had the fun job of killing one over the summer, and I never cleaned off my sword.

I was just too lazy to do it.

I set down the locket and stabbed it. A bright light filled the room, and I could feel from far away....

Harry's scar was burning with pain.
