"In this news morning report..." I have heard every day, for 4 days. I have then watched the news. Today, it says something different. "In this news morning report, brought to you by Channel 9 News, several missing children remain unfound. In other news, there has been an odd sighting. A reported moving piñata, attempting to get into someone's house. The Piñata was an, as of yet, unidentified 4 legged mammal. Its movements appeared panicked. With an exclusive interview, our reporter Tom Randalf brings you to the scene." The news cut to a man in a black suit. "Hello, Gloria." "Great t see you, Tom." "Alright. On the scene of the incident, police arrived to find a 3 foot tall piñata writhing in a window. It has, so far, declined for comment, however it does appear to understand English. We used 2 stomps for no, and 1 for yes, so we managed to hold a basic conversation. Here's that now." It cut to a piñata, around my height, but with separate colors, of pink and gold, in a police room. The reporter sat down, and began talking. "Do you have a name?" It stomped once. "Alright, can you tell me it?" Two stomps. "Ah, yes, the stomp system. Anyways, can you feel pain." No stomps. "What does that mean? You don't know?" One stomp. "Do you want to find out?" Two stomps. The thing appeared to be in a panic. "Are your intentions good, or evil? Stomp once for good, and twice for evil." No stomps. "Were you always a piñata?" Two stomps. "Were you an animal before you were a piñata?" Two stomps. "Were you a robot?" Two stomps. "Were you... human?" One stomp. "Alright, is your... transformation linked to the multiple murders around town?" No stomps. "The ones where a large pile of candy was dropped before the victim?" One stomp, yes. This one knew something. "Alright, I'm afraid that's all the time we have. Back to you Gloria." The news reporter just stared, after they had been cut back to. Just, staring. "Well, this appears to be a shocking development. The murderer somehow made these people into piñatas. An absurd case, but an absolutely horrifying one." The channel suddenly cut off. Gone to the depths. Our cover had been blown by someone.
