Henry was confused.
Not only did himself and his escapees meet some random girl that apparently knew Teddy, but she offered to help Simon and Teddy recover.
Then, they met two more people, a blond kid named Chase and another brown haired kid named Oliver. Chase was honestly very annoying at times. Oliver was quiet and shy. He didn't speak until spoken to.
Henry didn't mind them though.
The thing was, Henry's social life would be drastically effected. He was more of a "two friend" kid. He didn't have that many and didn't want to have more. But the boundaries of the hellish and hormone infested social prison known as "school" would judge him. They'd break him down, wanting to pierce him and see what he was made of.
It didn't matter. Henry was tough. He could withstand anything. Well, not really. He thinks of himself that way. Of course if he did, he'd believe it.
Henry held the door open for Simon and Teddy, waited for everyone to exit, and let go of the door.
"Now what? We're supposed to heal now?" Teddy asked.
"You're not the one covered in cuts Ted!" Simon argued.
"To the right. There's an alleyway." Henry pointed.
"Amazing." Breezy said. "A secluded and lonely area, where it's darker than any where else."
"What're you implying?" Henry asked.
"You all are 13. I don't know what the hell you're capable of." Breezy said, helping Simon walk to the alley.
"Oh you wish we'd have those kinda thoughts, Bree." Simon said and laughed. Breezy almost shoved Simon to the ground.
Simon was put against a brick wall, and so was Teddy. Chase walked into the alley with Oliver and pulled out the healing supplies.
"Ze doctor is 'ere!" Chase called. He went to work, putting bandage after bandage on Simon and sometimes on Teddy.
"Oh hey, olive!" Breezy said. "You were so quiet I didn't even notice you, honey." Breezy instantly cringed when she said that.
Oliver nodded and smiled.
"Aww, you're shy?" Breezy said.
Oliver stayed quiet.
"God damn, those are some deep cuts." Chase said. "How much do those guys hate you?"
"It's just Patrick. He's commanding them, probably." Henry said.
"Like...robots." Teddy said.
"Yes Ted. Like robots. Jesus Christ..." Breezy said.
"There we go...all good." Chase said, smacking Simon on the back.
"Ouch. Thanks, asshole." Simon angrily said.
Teddy was still a shivering mess. He looked like a whiny puppy, needing warmth and comfort in the dark loneliness of life.
"Here Ted." Breezy said, slipping off her hoodie and wrapping it around him. Teddy smiled.
"Thanks. That's uh...kind of better, I guess." Teddy said.
Henry noticed Simon looking at them for a second. He had a frown on his face.
"Are you okay Simon?" Henry asked.
"Yeah. I'm cool." Simon replied.
Simon looked as if he had something on his mind. Like he was holding something back.
Perhaps it was the emotions he was experiencing. He had just met Breezy. Yet Simon hid his feelings away because of, maybe embarrassment.Henry's father taught him that he doesn't need to be masculine like the other boys. He loved him for who he is. He loved him because he was his son. Because he was be better than those who will doubt him.
Simon needed to let out those feelings, Henry guessed. He needed to see what was up with him, in his mind. Henry could tell that Simon was a strong person. But emotions can get in the way of any strength.
In any case, Simon can do as he wants. He was Henry's new friend, and he cared. He didn't want him to bottle up.
"We meet again, PUSSIES!"
Henry turned his head to the entrance of the alley. Unfortunately, the entrance was also the exit. And that entry and exit was blocked by three bigots.
"You're lucky my dad don't got his gun yet. Otherwise I'd blow your BRAINS OUT!" Cameron shouted.
"Yeah? Try us, tough guy! Six of us and three of you." Breezy angrily said.
"Oh shut up, fatty. We're as strong four people each!" Patrick said.
Henry scanned their surroundings. Two brick walls, about six or seven feet apart from each other. Behind him, a door. Possibly locked. It would lead to the 7-11 again. Henry would take his chances.
Until he realized. He felt his firework in his pocket.
I need a lighter. A lighter. God damn it, Henry said to himself.
His chances were grim. But Patrick would probably have matches in his black leather jacket.
"C'mon then! Fight us!" Henry shouted.
"Henry SHUSH!" Teddy said.
"Alright then. Y'all asked for it." Patrick said, cracking his knuckles loudly. They slowly approached them, the group slowly back away.
Soon enough they were stuck. They were dead.
Cameron brought out a butterfly knife and spun it around his hand, and after a few clicks, the blade was revealed.
Chloe apparently had brass knuckles too. She put them on, and put on a toothy smile.
Henry was scared.
