A month passed.

Most of the snow has melted away into little puddles of water. Henry and Teddy had began to shy away from Simon and the rest. They didn't want to be involved with that toxic group.

Oliver had heard about the fiasco that Belle and Breezy had. Obviously, he started to hate Simon. But not as bad as he would like to. Simon is a good guy, but he should really control his girlfriend.

And Simon. He hadn't talked to Breezy since she kissed Belle. He missed her desperately.

He missed her. She was cute and fun, but very hard to get along with. She was a difficult person, yes, but Simon loved her more than anything nonetheless.

Simon kept thinking about her everyday, getting sadder with every thought.

As for the clubhouse, it burned down. Teddy told Henry about his situation. Henry had convinced Teddy to leave those bullies away from any dumb deal they could drum up.

That's too bad. Teddy liked the clubhouse.

Now the year is coming to a close. High school begins in a few months after.

Simon and Chase hung out at Michaels Park, dealing with Chase's bandaids he put on because he wanted to see if they ripped off any hair from his sunburnt skin.

Chase screamed.

"Getting bandaids off your sunburnt skin isn't that bad, little girl." Simon said.

"YOU'RE RIPPING THEM OFF!" Chase argued, clenching his fist.

"Quick and easy, Chase." Simon said, his monotone voice getting lower.

"Yeah, quick and easy. Just like sex with you." Chase rolled his eyes. Simon ripped off another bandaid and Chase yelled.

"And how would you know?" Simon questioned.

"It was an insult, fucking idiot." Chase said.

"You take everything seriously, don't you." Simon said.

Chase got up from the grass and looked up. The vibrant blue sky was cloudless. The sun shined on to them, it's rays warming them. As if they weren't warm already.

June eleventh had arrived. The school year was officially over.

"So, what now?" Chase asked.

"I dunno. Henry said he was gonna have a barbecue at his house today." Simon replied.

"What about Breezy?" Chase questioned.

Simon paused. He scowled.

"Breezy. What about her?" Simon said.

"You said you were gonna give her time to breeze off." Chase snickered.

"Yeah we haven't been...the most proactive, when it comes to communication." Simon replied.

"Since that thing with Belle you and her haven't been the same, man." Chase said. "Where's that balls-to-the-wall no fucks given Simon we all love?"

Simon sighed.

"Nowhere hmm. That's okay. Never liked that guy anyway." Chase patted Simon's back. Simon smiled.

"Oliver still hates me, doesn't he?" Simon asked.

"Oh no, he doesn't. Well...not that much." Chase said. "But hey, he's moving away when we get to sophomore year."

"Great." Simon blatantly said. "Seems like everyone hates me."

"We all did at one point, Si." Chase said. Simon shot him a look, Chase put up his hands in surrender.

"Hey, it was a pretty shit winter. You weren't you, we weren't us. We're all together again, aren't we?" Chase said, smiling.

"I guess so." Simon said.

Chase put his arm around Simon.

"Go."

"What?"

"Go to Bree."

"Why? Wh—"

"Listen. I know you miss her. And I know you feel horrible. Nothings gonna happen if you just sit here in the park, miserable." Chase said.

Simon sat silent.

"If anything happens, it's your fault." Simon said.

"Atta-boy! Go!" Chase said. Simon got up and started running. He heard Chase yell something, but he ignored it.

Simon went to his bike, and started riding it. The short ride started getting longer and longer. His nerves started poking Simon.

He reached her house.

He let down his bike and slowly made his way to Breezy's front door. Simon stood, looking at the most intimidating door of his life.

He knocked.

"Coming!" A girl said.

Simon braced himself. His whole body clenched and he started sweating.

Breezy opened the door. What was once a smile faded away into a sort of frown.

Her short and brown hair seemed more "done." Her rounded glasses had been fixed. She wore a Metallica t-shirt.

They stared at each other. Simon wanted to run away. He wanted to sprint after his bike and forget she ever existed.

When the unbelievable happened.

Breezy pulled him in quickly. She embraced him, her arms curling tightly around Simon. She was warm. But she started crying.

Simon wrapped his arms around her, too. He wanted to cry. But he held it back.

"I'm sorry..." Simon whispered. Breezy's cold tears went down his neck.

Breezy stopped hugging and looked at him. She was smiling.

"Fuck you." She said.

Simon smiled, his tears overflowing in his eyes.

God, Simon realized how unbelievably cheesy this was. Simon embraced Breezy again, hugging her tightly. It didn't really matter if this was cheesier than Back To The Future or something. They loved each other.

And as the school year closed, so did many friendships. The year opened many relationships. It sounds weird, but well...that's what middle school does.

Simon, holding Breezy's hand, walked down the street. He wasn't excited for the future. But he damn well will be prepared for it.
