Henry Washington sat with his friend, Teddy.

Teddy was a good friend. He treated him good. Oh even in this school, Henry couldn't escape the names he would be called.

Henry was a black kid. There was a rare amount of his race in the school, mostly overtaken by white kids and Mexicans and other races. Hell, there were even Filipinos as well.

But Henry didn't mind. He was usually left alone and people seemed to be comfortable around him. Not everyone knew him, but he was nice to them nonetheless.

Teddy sat next to Henry and munched on a sandwich, some ham falling to his denim jacket.

"You know Ted, you should really get ridda that cow lick." Henry said, looking at Teddy's hair. Teddy had a cow lick, and a mullet.

"Listen man, I'm trying to get innovative. Trust me, when it's like 2020, this'll come back." Teddy responded.

"Riiight." Henry said, drinking his soda.

"Don't say that, your hair looks like and earthquake hit it!" Teddy said, pointing at it.

"I don't like doin' my hair, Ted." Henry said, scratching his head.

Henry had black and curly hair. So, Henry didn't bother to do it. It was probably because he was too lazy.

Across the lunch room, Henry saw Patrick Hothstetter go up to a kid with black hair. He was sitting next to a girl and a blond boy, and he talked to them.

Knowing Patrick, he was probably harassing them as Teddy and Henry sat and watched.

Patrick let out a scream of bloody murder, but Henry couldn't understand what he said.

"Jesus, I hate Patrick. He's sick." Henry said.

"You can say that again, man." Henry said.

Suddenly, black haired kid got up and pushed Patrick into a table of lunches.

"Yikes! That's gotta leave a stain!" Henry said.

Patrick shouted again. He pointed furiously at black haired kid and walked off out of the cafeteria.

"Holy crap. No one has ever stood up to that prick for a long time..." Teddy said.

"True. Say, lets get out. Before the crowd comes." Henry said, emptying his trash into the trash can and throwing away his paper bag.

Teddy did the same, and followed Henry out of the cafeteria and to the two double doors that lead outside to the outside.

The music teacher that stood there gave them both a disgusted stare for a second, as they went out.

Kids were already out there, sitting down or walking around, talking.
It wasn't chaotic yet. Which was nice.

Patrick Hothstetter came out with his PE clothes on. He stomped his way passed Henry and said, "Move it, negro."

"Shove it, Hothstetter." Henry said, kicking gravel at him.

Now, Henry already knew this was a bad idea. Patrick was already furious and with the fact that he was stood up to again, it was Henry's death penalty.

Patrick instantly turned around and tried to snatch Henry. Luckily, Henry was fast. He dodged, and ran the other way as fast as he could. Patrick chases after him.

"Oh yeah Pat! Get that exercise!" Henry shouted, teasingly. Patrick was surprisingly getting closer to him, as he sprinted towards Henry.

It didn't matter though. Right at the last second, Henry dashed to the right and onto a big grass patch. Patrick was starting to slow down, and Henry was getting faster.

Henry was very fit. He was in basketball and football, so he had a lot of experience with running.

Henry looked back and saw Patrick, meters behind him, slouched down and hands on knees. He was most likely wheezing for breath.

"You okay, Hothstetter? Don't wanna kill ya today!" Henry shouted.

"CAN I PLEASE GET PATRICK GILLIAN HOTHSTETTER TO THE OFFICE." The intercom said loudly. Patrick looked utterly devastated.

"YOU'RE DEAD!" Patrick shouted. Henry decided to run to him. He ran passed Patrick and spanked his butt, and he let out a good loud scream. Henry ran back over to Teddy, whom was sitting on a bench, watching.

"Dude! That was awesome!" Teddy congratulated, patting Henry on the back.

Patrick walked by, out of breath, and went inside again.

"Heh." Henry said. He was kind of out of breath, but not really.
