Breezy was overreacting.
She guessed that the surge of emotions she had when she attacked Patrick may have had a toll on her.
I hope that fucker doesn't come back, she thought. Breezy was walking down the sidewalk from the clubhouse. Come to think of it, the group never really decided on a name for the house. Whatever.
Half an hour later, Breezy arrived at Michaels Park. In the distance and on the little kids playground, she saw some people hanging out.
Breezy walked over to them. There, she saw Chase, Henry, and Belle.
Chase was sitting on his swing. Belle stood next to a tiny rock climbing wall. Henry sat on a bar in the jungle jim. Chase groaned in boredom.
"Jesus. It's Saturday, best day of the dang week, and we got half the group missing." Chase said. He shook his head.
"I mean...it's eh." Henry answered, shrugging. Breezy hadn't seen him in a long time. A comb stuck out of his hair. His hair was in a mini afro.
"Oh...Bree! Sorry, I didn't notice ya, honey." Chase said, smiling at Breezy.
Breezy stood silent, leaning against the bars holding up the swings.
"No answer, hmm? This burden is unbearable. My dear Breezy, please, accept my thoughts and prayers to you!" Chase monologued.
Breezy scowled.
"I'm sorry, Chase." Breezy said, extremely softly.
Chase looked confused.
"Bree...I actually don't know what you said." Chase said, honestly.
"I'm sorry, Chase." Breezy raised her voice, closing her eyes in embarrassment and anger.
"Oh. Uh...for what?" Chase questioned.
"For fucking...y'know! You know. You're messing with me. Fuck you." Breezy replied.
"You apologize to me for something I dunno about and you told me 'eff you?' How rude." Chase said. He smiled smugly, swinging on his swing.
"Thank you for helping me. There." Breezy finally said.
"Oh. No problem babe." Chase replied.
"Don't ever fucking call me that, you fucking bitch." Breezy emphasized on the "fucking."
Henry looked at both of them. He had a slightly disturbed look on his face.
"Ahem. So you and Simon are together. Right?" Henry asked.
Breezy nodded.
"Cool." Henry said.
"Speaking of Simon, where is he?" Breezy asked.
"Have no idea. Neither him, or Ollie, or Tedster are late. They're slacking." Chase replied.
"It's my fault, isn't it? It's cause of how dumb I can be." Breezy said.
The playground was silent.
"I don't think...you're dumb." Belle said.
"Wow, okay. You don't give me answers to the quizzes at school but when we finally have an awkward moment you have to speak up?" Chase asked.
"Yes." Belle said bluntly.
Chase looked at Belle. He shrugged.
"Fair enough." He said.
Breezy didn't know what she was doing. She didn't know what she wanted to do. She felt so many emotions at once, all bombarding her with things she's never felt before.
Suddenly, Breezy just walked up to Belle and started making out with her.
Belle stood so straight. Breezy knew she lit off every nerve in her body. But Belle slowly started accepting.
"I...," Chase said. "What?"
"You go girl." Henry said, in the most unenthusiastic voice.
Breezy felt warm. She couldn't let go.
Is this wrong? Most likely.
"Well while they're doing that, I'm gonna eat some granola bars." Chase said.
Suddenly.
"Breezy?"
A different voice sounded from her left. Her heart dropped.
Breezy looked over and saw Simon standing there, next to the swing. Breezy's eyes widened. She began to have tears.
"Simon, I—I can..." Breezy started to say.
"You know what? You do that. You...fucking do that." Simon said. He threw his arms up and smacked them down.
"Okay, okay guys? Guys, let's just regain ourselves." Chase said, cautioning.
"I'm sorry, are you the one who saw your GIRLFRIEND, kiss another person? No holding back?!" Simon shouted, angrily.
"Simon, please calm down. Please..." Breezy tried.
"You Think I'm gonna calm down? Hmm? Oh-ho, now if I was there, you'd try to fucking kill me, right?" Simon questioned.
Breezy didn't answer.
"Right?!" Simon repeated.
"Simon just, calm the hell down man." Chase warned.
Simon threw his fist straight at Chase. He flew back on the wood chips.
Henry grabbed Simon forcefully, trying to make him restrain from punching Chase. Breezy and Belle were doing the same.
Simon struggled and eventually ripped out of grip of the four. He stared directly at Breezy. He started breathing heavily. Simon's breath was clouding, the air coming out of his mouth.
He eventually turned around and shook his head. He started angrily walking away.
Breezy broke down on her knees. Tears erupted from her face. Her body felt cold, not only cause of the temperature, but because of the pain she was feeling.
Chase got up. His nose was bleeding.
"Jesus christ...You good, Chase?" Henry said.
Chase wiped blood off his nose.
"Uh...yeah man." Chase replied.
Chase sat down next to Breezy. He put his arms around her shoulders.
Breezy felt slightly better.
