Yuto sat awkwardly in his chair, not knowing where to look. His mother and father were acting like they were the perfect couple, while people surrounded them. His family had come down to visit, having not the slightest idea about how their sons marriage was falling apart. They were feeding each other, talking about all the love they had for each other. He rolled his eyes, wanting to leave.

His grandmother from his father's side walked up to him, giving him a tight hug. He smiled awkwardly, patting her back. "Hey, gran." She pulled away, going straight to her son. His grandfather eyed him, not saying anything. He sat back down, keeping to himself. He didn't think the dinner could get any worse, until they brought up the topic of dating.

"So, Yuto dear. Are you seeing anyone?" he sighed. He shook his head, putting on a fake smile.

"No, not yet." His father snorted.

"That boy's been saying that for the past three years. He ain't gonna have one." He looked down, hoping something would take them off the topic.

"Oh, why not honey? Your so handsome, there must be some girl wanting to be with you." he smiled tightly, holding back the urge to say he wasn't interested in a girl. That there was a certain tall boy who was making his way into his heart.

"I just haven't found the right one yet." his grandfather snorted this time.

"You won't ever find the right one. You just pick one out of the hat, knock em up, and sit back and relax while they do all the work." no one said anything, making him mad. He hated when his father would say that, now he knew who he got it from.

"I don't know. Maybe there is a right one for me." he glared at him. Yuto looked away, twirling the straw in his cup.

"Are you sure your sons not gay?" He felt his ears burn at that statement. His mother and father laughed, leaning on each other.

"Please, we'd never let him be that way. He's into girls and girls only." He didn't look up, instead he drowned out their voices. He wanted to cry, but knew they'd only poke fun of him at that too. Instead, he looked down at his drink, watching as the ice cubes melted slowly.

The buzz of his phone made him snap out of his thoughts. He quickly pulled it out, desperate for the distraction. When he looked down at who it was, he felt his heart skip a beat. A few days back, after the whole pizza incident, Wooseok had forced his number into his phone, saying he could text any time he was bored.

Wooseokie: hey, you there?

He answered right away, the laughing emojis flashing on his screen.

Wooseokie: Wow, you must be really bored to answer that fast.

He rolled his eyes, a smile crossing his face. He put his head down more, not wanting to draw the attention of his family.

Me: not bored, just needing a distraction.

He could almost hear the concern in the other through the phone. He was always asking if he was okay.

Wooseokie: You okay? What's up?

Me: nothing, just having a good ol family dinner.

Wooseokie: What's so good about a family dinner?

Me: apparently everything.

"Yuto, why are you smiling at your phone like that?" he snapped his head up with wide eyes. Everyone was staring at him, making him look around.

    "Huh?" His grandmother smiled again.

"I asked why you were smiling at your phone. Do you have a girlfriend and aren't telling us?" He looked down, changing his app to his instagram. Thankfully the first post was of something Hyunggu had thought was funny.

"No, i'm just looking at what Hyunggu posted." he held the phone up. He saw the way his mother and father rolled their eyes.

"Who's Hyunggu?" his grandmother asked his mother. She sighed, shaking her head. Yuto ignored what they said, going back to his messaging app. He saw that Wooseok had texted him twice.

Wooseokie: What are they talking about?

Wooseokie: awe, don't tell me you left already. :(

He snorted. He was only gone for five minutes at the most.

Me: i already told you the topic that always seems to come up with my family. And no i haven't left they were talking to me.

Wooseokie: Is it about dating?

Me: Bingo.

Wooseokie: Tell them that you are a grown man and don't need no woman in your life to make you happy.

He laughed to himself. He was right in a way, he didn't need a woman. He just needed him. When he realized what he said, he quickly drank all his coke, wanting to drown the thought out. He couldn't believe he said that to himself. He didn't need Wooseok, he was just fine on his own.

They got their food, with Yuto still texting Wooseok. He had moments where he'd snort at what the other said, but his family seemed to have forgotten about his existence.
