Yuto opened his window to climb out, seeing his two friends below him. He quietly closed it, the wind stinging his face. He crept to the side, before jumping off. He landed, feeling his foot hurt a little. He brushed it off, looking at the two smiling faces. Hyunggu and Jinho quickly pulled him away, making sure his parents didn't see anything.
"You're going to hurt your foot one day." Jinho said, looking up at him. Yuto shrugged, messing up his hair.
"I'm good. I've been doing it for years." Hyunggu rolled his eyes. They made their way to the baseball field, the street lights shining down at them. They talked about their day, before seeing the same fluorescent lights shining down the street. They quickly ran to it, before they were late.
"Yutoda!" Hwitaek ran to him, pulling him into a hug. Yuto hugged back, a laugh leaving his mouth.
"Your kind of crushing me." He let go, stepping back. They sat on the single bleacher, waiting for the coach. When he showed up, they all stood. Coach Kim smiled, waving his hand.
"You can sit." they all sat back down. "Okay, I know it's late, and you all should be getting rest for the game coming up." Yuto and Hyunggu bumped shoulders, smiling at each other. "But the school just finished talking to me. They need us to help with the spring dance, that you know is a big deal around here."
All the boys groaned, rolling their eyes. Coach kim laughed, shaking his head. "I know, I hate it too. But it's a big deal to the football team and the cheerleaders. But since the football team has been doing good this season, they won't be able to help. So they asked us to." one kid, Jaebum, raised his hand. "Mr. Im. you have a question?" He nodded.
"Will the cheerleaders be helping? Because, you know, it would really help us a lot." He laughed, some guys giving him a high five. Coach Kim glared at him, pointing to the field.
"A lap." was all he said. Jaebum groaned, standing up. The boys laughed at him, patting his back. While he ran, everyone watched, making fun of him. Yuto shook his head, knowing how he was. When he sat down, they all gave their attention to the coach.
"As I was saying, there will be no cheerleaders, so get that fantasy out of your head, Mr. Im. It'll just be us, maybe some of the detention kids. But, the others will be coming up with the theme, you will just have to do the rest. And if you do, then we'll have a party or whatever you guys want." they all cheered, high fiving each other.
He wrapped up the "meeting" as him and Jinho called it, sneaking back into his house. Hyunggu stayed over, the two talking and falling asleep on the floor together. The two of them were practically inseparable. It was like they were brothers. And Yuto loved him like one. He had raised the boy ever since he first came over from japan.
