Summary: Izuku takes the entrance exams, except this time, he knows how to ace it. Can he do it?

I stepped up to the gate, holding my breath as I looked around at all the other possible students. I remember how nervous I was last year. I grinned and shook my head. I picked out every person in the crowd who didn't become a pro (they didn't last time, I wouldn't think they would this time), guessing whether it was because of expulsion after making it, or lack of points in the exams.

Present Mic started talking, and I ran as soon as he was finished. I didn't want to be last like last time, that would be a real tragedy. I ran behind the people who were knocking out an impressive amount of bots and stole the points before they could get them.

By the end of 10 minutes, I had about 30 pairs of eyes staring daggers into back of my head as I leisurely jogged around, confident I had enough points to get in. I saw the weirdest looking person there, instantly recognizing them. Every time they tried to score, I went ahead of them and took out the bots. Now I had up to 50 people angry at me and a very defiant looking Mineta.

I smirked as I recognized the familiar explosions. I had to admit, I was impressed with the development of his quirk. I hadn't seen it in action since the 2nd month of my training with All Might: he finally realized that I was stronger than him, quirk-less or not.

I heard Present Mic start counting down from 60 just as I saw the bot worth 0 points emerge from nowhere. I ran over to it as fast as I could, putting 3% of my power into my legs as I activated One For All over my body. I took the bot out with one punch, using 10% of my power, making sure to make it look easy, not breaking any bones this time and successfully saving Uraraka.

I slowly walked out of the arena as the gong goes off, signaling the end of the exams, shocked people staring at me in awe and frustration.

I walked home, having just finished the written portion of the exams. I knew all of the material, given that I had taken it before and knew what to study.

Bakugo came up behind me, screaming like a lunatic (as always) and throwing insults at me left and right. I sigh as I round on him, stopping him dead in his tracks.

"What is your deal? What is it with you and your dumbass superiority AND God complex that makes you hate me so much?"

He was silent for a moment before biting back, ignoring the middle of my question, "Isn't it obvious?! You're useless and you're never gonna become a hero!"

"Really? Because, how I see it," I said, stepping up to him. I was at least 3 inches taller than him and noticeably more built, "I'm on a better track than you to get into UA. And, if I'm not mistaken," I added with a chuckle," That's the key step to becoming a pro hero." I smirked at him as I pulled out my phone, showing him a picture of the physical exam results, in which I scored #1, him being #2.

I turned around and, while he was still processing that, (just because I know it makes him angry) I turned around and whispered, "Oh Kacchan, how sad. The kid you called inferior your whole life turned out to be better than you, and without a quirk."

My mom squeaked out an exited response when I got my letter saying that I was accepted into UA. I was happy, of course. However, I knew I would get in. I aced all the mock tests, took down the giant bot worth nothing, got more points than anyone else, had All Might's quirk, and I got amazing scores in the written exams. There's no way I wouldn't get in.
'Geez, I sure am sounding a whole lot like Katsuki, aren't I?'

KNOCK, KNOCK

My mom opened my door a  crack, peaked her head in, and opened the door when she saw I was studying.

"Hey, Izuku. Have you already completed your hero costume?"

"Yeah, Mom, I finished it two days ago."
"That's good." She started walking away. She turned around for a moment before smiling. "Well," she said, wiping away a tear, "I'm just so proud of you."

I smiled slightly, genuine happiness in my eyes, "Thanks, mom."

Hey! Sorry it's a shorter chapter, I haven't had a lot of inspiration lately and a lot of personal things have been going on. I'll keep updating though, I hope you like this one!
