"Very well," Shigaraki started, slowly sauntering toward me. None of the rest of the League moved to stop him. "We'll have to kill you."

"Aw, it's such a shame, though," Toga wined, "We went through so much work to get him!" She stomped her foot in frustration. Scowling as she crossed her arms, "I wish we didn't have to kill his mom, though. She was a sweet little lady."

My head snapped up from where it was hanging in resignation.

"What did you just say?" I asked, not sure I heard her correctly.

"Any last words, brat?" Shigaraki asked, ignoring my question.

"No, no, no. You're answering me. What did she just say?" I repeated myself. They weren't going to get off that easy.

"Yeah," Toga sighed, ignoring the glare Shigaraki sent her way, "Your mom seemed very nice, it was a shame we had to kill her," She said this like it was the most mundane occurrence.

"You...." I trailed off, taking a minute to process that. Unfortunately, Shigaraki wasn't one to wait.

"Anything else you want to know before you die?" He restated, still glaring.

"Just tell me this," I said, resigning myself to the fact that I was about to die, "Why did you become a villain? Why do you seem to hate everything so much?"

Shigaraki laughed, a scratchy, rough sound that reverberated around the small room, "The reason is simple. Even if this hero society comes crashing down, even if I rise to rule the underworld, the weight in my heart from my past is never going to go away. That's why I hate everything. Every living, breathing thing just rubs me the wrong way. So why not destroy it all? Why not destroy everything?"

He finished his speech, spreading his hands out across the room. He centered his attention back on me. "But you, you are one of the people I want to destroy the most. Your very existence annoys me, so why not just kill you and save myself some discomfort?" He reached forward, extending his hand to grasp my throat. His hand was just an inch from desintigrating my throat when I snapped.

I activated One For All, ripping through the restraints and kicking in the stomach, sending him flying back into the bar.

The impact knocked the desembodied hand off his face, leaving his red eyes glowing with rage. Now that there was nothing obscuring his face, there was no mistaking it: he was livid. No one's ever disrespected him without dying, let alone hurt him.

He stood up, his back cracking with the effort, and raced toward him. None of the other people in the room tried to stop either one of us, seeming to be enjoying the show.

He ran toward me, extending his hand toward my chest. I leaped into the air, one for all crackling along my legs, and flipped in midair so I was completely upside down. My feet collided with the ceiling and pulled back my arm. I kicked off the ceiling, and was left plummeting toward Shigaraki. I put 50% of One For All into my punch as my fist collided with his back, his hunched form making easy access to what would knock the breath out of him.

He feel to the ground and I landed beside him, still upright. I placed my foot on his back and pressed, hearing ribs crack as I put all of my weight into crushing him. He writhed on the ground, trying unsuccessfully to move from where he was pressed.

He gasped, choking up blood as his lungs were punctured by his broken ribs. The other members of the league still did nothing to help their leader.

I lifted my foot from his back, leaving him squirming on the ground, trying to get up, but failing to even roll over. I smirked, lifting my foot and slamming it down onto the back of his neck. My smirk widened when I heard the cracking beneath my foot.

Toga moved forward, but I flung my hand in her direction using One For All, sending her flying back in a hurt of artificial wind.

I removed my door from the immobile, lifeless body beneath me.

"So," I started, looking up at the other members of the League, "Still want me to join you?"
