Note- Really late upload and short chapter, my bad, I'll come back and edit the chapter more later, but right now I have to go and pre-write the next few chapter so they're not late again.

I stepped up to the ring, looking at my opponent facing opposite me. I remembered her, Ibara Shiozaki. I vaguely heard Present Mic introducing us in the background, but I was more focused on my plan for beating Shiozaki. She had the advantage of long distance and defense attacks with her quirk, but I was better at physical and close-range attacks.

I got into a fighting stance, letting One For All flow throughout my body at 3%. This wasn't going to be one for the more power-heavy battles, so I didn't want to use too much of my quirk when it wasn't needed.

I heard Present Mic count down from three, giving us the okay to start our battle. At the word 'go' Shiozaki shot out her vines, wrapping them around my ankle and pulling forward. I jumped up before I could fall down, yanking my captured leg backward, causing her to loose her balance and stumble forward. I ripped my foot free of the vines wrapped around it and landed on the ground on level footing.

I ran forward, my quirk still activated all over my body and I sprinted toward my opponent. My goal was to just shove her out of the arena, but I knew it would be that easy. She noticed my approach and turned around, creating a wall out of her vines. I was prepared for that, though, I tore through the vines and attempted to shove her out of bounds once again.

She evaded my push, however, and sprinted back toward the center of the arena. She turned around, facing me, and shot out her vines once again. They wrapped around me, encircling my waist and wrapping around my arms, binding them to my sides. The vines tugged, pulling me forward toward the center of the arena.

I let her pull me in, not even attempting to rip free of the vine's hold around me until I was within one meter of her. Once I was in close, I ripped my arms free, tearing apart the vines that bound my waist.

I kicked off of the ground, using my grip on her vines to pivot on my foot and get behind her. I grabbed her left wrist with my left hand, using my right to place of the small of her back and shove her to the ground before planting myself on her wait, keeping her immobile. I'd seen Uraraka do this move in my last life- it was the one she learned while training with Gunhead.

I grabbed her right wrist, now having both her hands trapped in my left. Shiozaki twisted under me, trying to throw me off. I tightened my grip on her hands, putting 1% of my quirk into my hands to make sure she didn't escape. She settled, defeated, on the ground, coming to terms with the fact that she lost the round. I felt kind of bad; she had great potential and should have been given more time to show possible mentors that, but if it was either me or her who advanced, I'd choose me.
