Summary: Deku's training, plus worrying about the cameras have distracted him from important subjects lately, and his classmates and teacher have started to notice. Izuku finds a little surprise for him when he gets home, and it results in an not only the answer to who's placed the cameras, but also a chance to put his training into action.

"Deku, are you feeling alright?''

''Huh?'' I snapped my head up, her question snapping me out of my daze.

''See what I mean? You haven't been focused all day long!''

''Come to think of it,'' Iida broke in, ''You've been acting off for the past week. I something troubling you?''

''No, I'm fine- but thank you for worrying about me,'' I flashed them with a quick smile, hoping they'd believe my lie. They didn't seem convinced, but they backed off on questioning me. I turned my attention to the front of the class where I saw Aizawa staring- more like glaring- at me. He turned toward his desk, picked up a few papers, and started walking back toward me.

When he reached my desk he threw the papers down on my desk and stared daggers into my eyes.

''What is this?'' I looked down at the papers, noting the unusually low grades on the tops of the pages. I looked closer and noticed that they were the assignments I had submitted in the past week. Maybe Uraraka and Iida were right, maybe I have been more distracted than usual lately.

''Those are... My assignments,'' I said lamely.

''Yes,'' He rolled his eyes, ''Your grades have been slipping. You're failing.''

''I'm sorry-''

''Don't apologize, fix it.''

''-I'll re-do those assignments and I'll pay more attention in class. I've been distracted lately, but I'll work harder to not let it affect my school work.''

Aizawa looked at me skeptically, probably wondering whether I'm telling the truth or not, before nodding and walking back to the front of the room to start the class.

Briiing

The bell signaling lunch rang, leaving the students to shoot out of their seats and start walking to the cafeteria, starting up conversations the moment they meet with their friends.

I tried to walk out the door before Ochako and Iida could catch up to me, but- of course- they ambushed me and started interrogating me the moment they got within 6 feet of me.

"Why were you distracted all day?"

"What's wrong?"

"Are you okay?"

"What happened?"

I sighed, "Guys, I'm fine, really. I've just been a little distracted all day," I cringed at how blatantly obvious that statement was.

"Well, duh," Uraraka replied, "We wanna know why you've been so distracted lately. What's wrong?"

"Guys, it's really nothing. I just haven't gotten good sleep lately," I lied, hoping they'd just back off. Of course, I was wrong.

Iida shook his head, "I will not deny, that is a reasonable excuse, however, it is obviously not what's wrong with you. Tell us, Midoriya, what's been on your mind lately?"

"Yeah, Deku, you can trust us!" Uraraka reassured. I sighed. There's no way to hide anything from the two of them.

I resigned myself to my unavoidable fate, sitting down at the cafeteria with them and relating to them the weeks recent events. How I've found cameras in my house and I have to act like they aren't there, how I've taken up extra training lessons with Aizawa encase the people who placed the cameras planned to do anything with me, how those extra lessons added on with school have actually caused me to lose quite a lot of sleep.

They sat there, attentively listening, patiently waiting for me to finish talking before asking any questions of their own.

I finished my story with a sigh, looking up to see their expressions. Neither of them looked like I expected; I expected shocked expressions, not somber faces staring back at my own.

Iida cleared his throat, "Well then...."

I walked into my house, just having gotten back from UA. I set my backpack on the ground by the door before reaching to take off my shoes.

Like every other day, I eyed the cameras out the side of my eye, only to notice they weren't there. My eyes widened and my posture straitened, searching for them more closely, only to find that they were all removed.

I realized what this meant just a second before my mind registered the presence behind me. I spun around to find the notorious villain, Dabi, with a fistful of flames and a smirk on his face.

"Dabi," I narrowed my eyes incredulously. His smirk only widened at that, the purple skin on his face pulling against the staples, letting the flesh between his unburnt skin and his skin graft show. He swung his arm, sending a wall of flames toward me.

I activated One For All, feeling the ends of my uniform get singed off as I leaped into the air. I used the wall as leverage to push myself through the air, flying until I landed at the other side of the room.

Just as I landed on my feet, a portal- Kurogiri, my mind supplied- opened next to Dabi, letting clones of the villain into my living room.

I scowled, but my face soon lifted as my mind registered one thing. They can't kill me. The clones have Dabi's quirk, but they can't use it. After all, they wouldn't go through all this trouble just to kill me.

The clones were confused at my shift in mood for a moment, but that was all I needed. I remembered a page I wrote about Bakugou in my past life, and hoped I correctly remembered the exact placement of his feet as he jumped through the air.

I jumped into the air, kicked off the ceiling, grabbed a candle holder, and felt my foot slam into the wall behind the clones. I kicked off the wall, swinging the candle holder at two of the clones heads. Before any of them had even registered that I moved, two of the clones were already dissipating on the ground.

The clones spun toward me, and-in their confusion- I was able to take out two more before the started closing in on me.

I leaped into the air again, jumping across the room as a ball of blue flames licked up the floor on which I was standing only moments ago.

My mind raced as I tried to think of a plan. I can't try to leave- even if I get out the door without a clone (I could safely guess they were all clones: if they had actually been watching me on the cameras the past months, they would know it's too dangerous to send one of the league to capture me) catching me, they'd be outside, and civilians could easily get caught in the crossfire.

It was only when I landed back on the ground that I realized my mistake. I might be able to move quickly, but I don't have the power to speed up my thought process. I was in my head far too long, and I didn't notice the clones agreeing on a plan.

I landed, and looked up, only to feel something sharp and cold jab into my neck. I spun around, yanking the object out of my neck. I didn't need to look at the needle to know that it was a sleep serum, and the plunger was pressed all the way down.

I rose to my feet and the world tilted. I tried to focus, but my eyes seemed bent on reverting back to seeing double.

I shook my head, but when I opened them, all I saw was the ground rushing strait toward me.

A/N: Oooh, a cliffhanger?? Sorry, I guess you'll just have to wait till next week to see what happens. I'm prewriting all my chapters, so you probably won't have to worry about me forgetting to update any time soon.
