"You don't need to know about me, my life isn't that interesting". She is hiding something. But what... "Well I gotta go, see ya syd". In a flash she swung my door open and fled. I am now determined to know as much about Ella Grey as possible. I decide that I would read this book I found. Not new but it was written in 2020 when the written scroll was sent to earth. I found it in the library at base. It is about the warriors of peace. Except my name in this book is Holly Mason. The book talks about how the monsters are like purple slimy blobs terrorizing city after city until Holly finally comes from nowhere and defeats one of them. After that a Chloe Boston speaks on the news claiming to be the elementress. Holly and Chloe meet up and go on a search for the other Warriors. That's as far as I've read but a lot of people say that so much happens after that, and they can't keep up. I like the writing so far though. What was this authors name again. I might read more books by her. Anyway I continue reading until I fall asleep.

I slept until there was a knock on my door. I sit up and rub my eyes before checking the clock on my desk. 7:00 P.M. I stand up and answer the door to see Ella. "Hey" I say in a tired state. "Hey, I was wondering if you wanted to go for a walk before dinner" She asks. "Sure". I turn to slip on my shoes. Just some worn out vans. They Have a faint checkered design. I got them in 3026. I liked the vintage look. Looking at the vans made me remember this photo from 2019. Kids had headphones with wires, plastic water bottles, and Checkered vans. As soon as I snap back to reality I'm walking past the dining room with Ella. "So what happened to your parents". It was a touchy subject to start with but as I said previously, I will find out as much as I can about Ella grey. "My dad left when I was born and My mom died of illness when I was 14". She responded without a question. "You didn't have any siblings". "No" she answers. The way she said no was kind of odd but I didn't say anything. She has been alone and harrassed by these kids for 2 years. That might explain why she is very moody. "Where did you go when you were 15". I decide this is information that will be useful. "Miss Green, she's my foster mom". I didn't know she was apart of foster care. Miss green must have been the lady I talked to the other day. The one who was worried about Ella. "I've been such a jerk to her, and all she did was try to help," she says, looking as if she will tear up. "Well it's hard to accept people when you already lost someone" I say with my hand on her shoulder.

We walked in silence the rest of the way until we made it to the forest. "I have this spot I go to that no one else knows about" She said with a smile tugging at the corners of her lips. When she broke the silence, I had Listened closely to her voice. It's soft, and kind of high pitched. She has a faint English accent. We make it to this spot. There is a blanket stuck to two trees with a thin mattress as the flooring. Fairy lights decorate the interior, along with pictures. "It's not much, but I like the quiet" she explains. We sit on the cushion in silence. I took this moment to fully take in her appearance.  She has kind of short, light brown hair and pretty brown eyes. Nothing compared to my light blue ones. She took off her burgundy coat, to show a grey tank top. I look to one of the pictures. Its her and an older women, looks to be about 28 in the picture, Ella might be 4. The woman has Blond hair and the same brown eyes as Ella. They look happy. "Is that your mom" I ask, pointing to the women in the picture. She looks up. "Yes" she replies looking down again. "You look just like her" I say trying to lighten the mood. "I get that a lot." she looks up. "My mom was all I had left" she starts. "It was just me and her in this cruel world... but the cruel world decided to take her from me, just like it took everything else". She looks like she is about to cry. "How did your mother die, if you don't mind me asking". I was curious. "An illness. it was tuberculosis, I think. She would cough up blood. I did research and tuberculosis was all I found". I look down. "I'm sorry about that" I say. "You don't have to apologize for something you didn't do." She said bluntly. She looked at the digital clock next to her. "Dinner starts in 5 minutes, we should head back" she says standing. I stand and follow her back to camp.
