"You're not alone."
BEN SOLO

Rey, Ben thought as he felt her anguish. He sensed her anger, and amidst the battle it became his own. The last of the Mustafarians were defeated, and the Knights of Ren were exhausted, but not Ben. His anger refuelled him, so he was left standing with his saber still ablaze. He panted, as his eyes observed what was left of the battle, but to his disappointment there was no one.

Bodies sprawled out around them like lumps of soil on the scorched ground and not too far lava inched closer. Ben sensed another entity, as he strode past the dead and into the path between the barren trees. The Knights didn't follow him, sensing this was something their leader had to do alone.

A lake of water came into view, surrounded by the barren forest. The water splashed among the black rocks, but the closer Ben got he realized they were structural remnants. This was where Darth Vader's castle once stood. He could sense the dark side, almost welcoming his victory. Then the water bubbled, as a creature rose from the lake.

"He said you would come," said the beast. It was spider-like, latched on top the other creature, dripping in oil and water.

"Where is it?" Ben demanded, using the Force.

The creature screeched in a hideous laughter. "He couldn't compel me, and neither can you."

Ben stiffened. This creature was strangely force sensitive, oozing off it like molten skin. Foul and ugly, the creature that was symbiotically attached to its host blinked its three black-beady eyes. Ben could feel it measuring his worth.

"Very well," said the creature. "For defeating my protectors, your reward is absolute according to Darth Vader's wishes. The Wayfinder."

Then an altar like platform risen from the depths of the lake and Ben treaded through the water to reach it. The pyramidal artifact resembled the Sith Holocron, only the Wayfinder wasn't alive. It was heavy in his gloved hand as he stared at in awe. He was getting close.

"If you are indeed the one, then Darth Vader's legacy is yours..." congratulated the creature.

"What is Darth Vader's legacy?" Ben asked.

The creature laughed and then descended back into the lake, then Ben walked out with the Wayfinder and returned to the Knights of Ren. They waited patiently, and as did Hux.

"What is it?" Cardo asked.

"A Wayfinder," Ben answered. "It seems your intel was good, Hux."

"As it should be," Hux grinned. "I assure you, Kylo Ren...I'm still a great asset. The First Order might've been defeated, but chaos will spread like a plague. You will need my help to bring order to the galaxy."

"I thought we all agreed to kill him." Maddox said aloud.

"We did," said Kuruk, as he aimed his blaster at Hux's head.

"Wait," Hux pleaded as he stepped back, afraid.

Quickly, Ben activated his lightsaber and swiftly swung at Hux.

The shackles split, as Hux flinched. He was free.

"Let's go," said Ben as he and the Knights of Ren walked to the cruiser. Hux followed but stopped in his tracks as Ben turned around. "As useful as your intel was. I promised not to kill you, nothing more."
