Who'll Be in Charge of the Egg?!

At the Pokémon School, the Pokémon are all playing. Sandslash becomes more active and ends up rolling into Sylveon before jumping back into the air and ends up hitting Izzy and Saburo. Sandslash ends up rolling towards a petrified Sun but Uma moves her out of the way. Sandslash eventually calms down as Professor Sequoia arrives and says they have to see Drew Wall for his special class. In Drew Wall's office, he shows the class two Eggs. One Egg is the one that Izzy brought with him from Kalos whilst the other was found in a magnetic field. Drew Wall suggests the class that they look after one of the Eggs whilst he looks after the other. Professor Sequoia says they'll learn a lot from it as it is good experience. Drew Wall gives them the chance to chose which Egg to raise and Sun picks the orange and yellow Egg because off the design.

Uma offers Sun the chance to touch it saying that Eggs aren't able to move but as Sun goes to touch it, the Egg moves. They discuss what to do at night as they can't leave it in the classroom. They all agree to take it home with them. Uma suggests they let Sun do it to help her to touch Pokémon. Sun agrees to give it a go as a Croagunk watches the activity. School ends and they all go their separate ways. Izzy promises to make sure the Egg and Sun get home safe. A limousine pulls up to the school to drive Sun and Izzy to her home. Arriving at the house, they are met by her butler Samuel. Samuel requests that Sylveon remains outside but Sun says they came home with her so Sylveon can go in. After apologizing for his mistake, Samuel explains they don't normally allow Pokémon inside as they tend to scare Sun.

Sun explains they built a playground in the garden for Pokémon so she could watch from a safe distance. Sun shows Izzy to her room where Sun thinks it is a good idea to place the Egg on the sofa and after checking a book on Eggs, she places three cushions on the sofa to make it comfortable. Izzy notices a picture on a nearby desk showing a younger Sun holding a Bunnelbh and wonders why she is now afraid to touch them. Sun can't remember what happened to change her mind. Samuel isn't sure of the facts but at one point knows that when Sun resided with her mother, she came back, scared of Pokémon. Samuel explains the people in the picture with Sun are her mother and brother. One of her maids come in with tea and macarons and they start to eat. Whilst eating, Izzy suggests to Sun they start practicing to allow her to touch Pokémon again.

They make several attempts, starting with Sylveon before trying with a sleeping Pikipek. Neither attempt succeeds so they decide to try with Rotom which doesn't work either. At that moment, a Ledian flies past the balcony. Sun explains wild Pokémon often fly past the balcony and goes to get some food and they have different food for every Pokémon. Izzy has a look out in the garden and sees lots of Pokémon are out there playing. At the front door, a Maid opens the door to find Uma and Grubbin who has come to check on Lillie. Wathing the Pokémon play, Izzy notices a battlefield as Samuel says it is kept right so it can be used at anytime and Izzy is keen to have a battle but lacking an opponent, Sun suggests Samuel as he is one of the best battlers among the staff.

Sun watches from the balcony as Izzy and Samuel start their battle. Izzy decides to battle with Pikipek as Samuel sends out his Zebstrika. Rotom provides Izzy with data on Zebstrika and the battle begins with but Pikipek is hit by Rain Dance. Pikipek gets up and uses Tackle but Zebstrika uses Me First, causing the attacks to collide. Another Tackle and Me First collide as Izzy has Pikipek send Zebstrika with another Tackle. Pikipek tries to attack before Zebstrika uses Rain Dance but Zebstrika dodges and fires its attack which Pikipek dodge. Sun heads inside to check on the Egg. The battle continues with Zebstrika confusing Izzy, Sylveon, Rotom and Pikipek with Thrash allowing Pikipek to be sent flying and lands on Uma.

Having been worried about Sun, Uma came over only for Sun's scream gets their attention. The Croagunk is approaching the Egg trying to take it as Sun backs away scared. Croagunk jumps in the air to attack but Sun guards the Egg bravely as the others arrive. Seeing the Croagunk, Rotom provides Izzy with information. Croagunk goes to attack but Izzy orders Sylveon to use Quick Attack as Zebstrika uses Thrash to confuse it before Pikipek sends it flying with Tackle. Croagunk retreats as the others check on Sun and notice she is actually touching the Egg. She realizes her attempts to protect the Egg helped conquer her fear but is still scared about touching Sylveon.
