Like Loosing a Leg

{MAE}
"Mum called and said that I can't be in the band anymore because it's a waist of time and I need to focus more on my studies." I've always had a small hatred for Rach's mum, but this, this crosses the line. I wrapped my arms around Rach and she cried into my shoulder, Tilly and George had grabbed hands and we're just looking at each other, shocked. I wouldn't surprise me if they were having a convocation through looks, they do that a lot.
"What about Cal?" George asked.
"I just broke up with him." Rach sobbed.
"Oh."
We just stood in silence for a while. Rach was one of my best friends, like George and Tilly are two, but I've always been closer to Rach. What's the band gonna do? Rach is our basis. I looked over at the other girls and they seemed to know what I was thinking about.
George gave me a reassuring nod, she's got a plan.
Rach sat back on the bed and looked down, "I'm sorry guys."
"For what?" Tilly asked.
"Now you've got to find another basis. And, well, you know, we can't be 'that's just us' if it's not us." She looked up.
I didn't know what to say. She thought it was her fault, I can't believe her mum did this.
"Don't worry about it Rach, that's our job, what time is your mum coming?" George asked.
She shrugged, "she already called the school to say I won't be attending."
"Do you know why you can't stay?"
"Mum says that I need to focus on my studies, but we're moving to America, I've got a feeling she's remarrying to Paul." She sniffed and wiped her eyes.
"It's like I'm loosing my other leg." I mumbled unconsciously as I sat down next to Rach.
"Rachel!" It was definitely Kelly.
"Coming mum!" Rach yelled back to her mum.
Tears filled my eyes as we walked downstairs.
"C'mon you, we've got to get going. All of your stuffs in the car." Kelly said as we came to the door.
I let our a sob and wrapped my arms around Rach, "text me everyday, alright?"
"Okay." She choked out. She gave Tilly and George hugs before turning to the boys.
She hugged each of them and then stood in front of Cal.
"I still love you." He mumbled pulling her in for a hug.
"I love you too Cal. Forever and ever."
{TILLY POV}
Tears streamed down my face. I can't believe Kelly did this to Rach. Her and Cal were still in the hug, and this was the first time I've ever seen Cal cry.
"God girl lets go." Kelly said pulling at Rach's arm. Kelly was never really a good mother. She's one of those lady's that always leaves their child at home while they go out with another man.
Rach's dad found out she was cheating on him, but Kelly got custody on Rach, I know she'd do anything to live with her dad.
"Rachel Lilly Andrews, we're leaving. Now!"
George tensed beside me, I saw her clench her fists. She glared at Kelly, "shut your bloody mouth and let her say goodbye."
Kelly turned to Georgia, trust her to make Kelly angry. "I know your mother and I don't think she'll approve of you talking to people like that."
"I really couldn't give a shit what you think, this is my house and I'll say whatever I want to say. Now, I'd appreciate if you stood outside while Rach said goodbye." I couldn't help but chuckle, it's always George that gets her angry.
"Too bad girly, I'm going to stay here for as long as it takes for my daughter to say goodbye to the rest of you brats."
My eyes widened, that's defiantly crossed the line.
George lifted her arm and slapped Kelly across the face. "You shut your fucking mouth you slut." Ash grabbed Georgia around the waist before she could hit Kelly again.
"Ashton I swear to god-"
"Just leave her babe, alright, c'mon, she's not worth it." Ash realised her, but she was still glaring at Kelly.
Kelly held her hand to her face and Rach hugged us all once more, kissing Cal on the cheek.
She walked out of the door with her mother, who now has a red mark on her face, and she was gone.
I looked over at Mae who was just staring at the door.
"Mae?" Luke said.
She looked at him and immediately started crying.
Michael quickly pulled her in for a hug and she sobbed into his shirt. He whispered somthing into her ear and she nodded.
"Alright guys, someone put on a movie." Michael said, "what take-away do we want?"
"Chinese." Mae mumbled, still cuddled against Michaels chest.
George grabbed the Chinese menus off the fridge and grabbed the phone.

{CALUM POV}
It's been about an hour and we were all sitting and watching finding nemo. Georgia had fallen asleep with Ashton on the couch, Michael and Mae were cuddling on the floor and Tilly and Luke had left about ten minutes ago to go the her house. Looking at all of them made me think of Rach, and all of the times we had cuddled or went off by ourselves.
"I'm..um going upstairs." I said standing up.
Ash looked up but didn't stop running his hand through Georgia's hair, "you alright Cal?"
I sniffed and nodded, "yeah. I'll see how I am tomorrow, I just want to sleep." I said.
"Alright. Night." Ash said Michael giving me a sympathetic smile.
I guess things can only get better from here. I walked upstairs and fell asleep almost straight away.
