Chapter 2

At the therapist
We were sitting in a waiting room. We didn't speak a word when it was our turn hyunwoo just nodded and walked inside. He had a short conversation with the therapist Mr. Connor regarding my usual behavior and habits and then left. I stood up seeing my brother come out of the office. He gave me a hug.

"see you. I'll be waiting in the car."

I nodded and hugged him back. I felt like crying.

I will have to leave this amazing brother alone soon... He will be worried...

I walked inside sitting on the chair in front of Mr. Connor. He smiled with pity seeing my tired face. We started talking and after a good 30 minute conversation he gave me some papers.

"please fill this questions in. Be honest. You won't be judged you're in the safe place here."

I just nodded taking a pan. I started answering the questions.
There were quite a lot.
After I finished I felt my eyes water. A tear fell from my right eye and I quickly wiped it away.

" is everything okay Jiwoo? Do you want to talk some more?"
" no I'm okay thank you. I'm just really tired. I'll just get going."

I excused myself from this awkward conversation.
I walked to the parking lot seeing hyunwoo sitting in the car playing on this phone. I sat next to him and we drove off.

We arrived. I sighted seeing my house and seeing my mom's still not home. Before I left the car I felt a hand grab my wrist.

"here. I won't be able to come here tomorrow so happy birthday in advance."
He handed me a box with a beautiful necklace with a moon and a sun and an envelope.
"thank you oppa. You shouldn't have to. This looks very expensive. I promise I'll pay you back."
"don't. It's my gift to my little sister for her 18th birthday. Aygoo you grew up so quickly."

I just rolled my eyes smiling at him.

"I'm going inside now. It's quite cold."
"get some rest. I'll see you soon and call me anytime okay?"
"of course oppa. Thank you"

With that I ran inside. I don't like cold at all. I ran to the kitchen and made myself some instant noodles. When I was done I went upstairs. I took a shower and went to bed. It was 8pm but I was already very tired so I fell asleep instantly.

Next morning

I woke up at my alarm clock going off. Ugh mornings. It's my birthday today. I finally turned 18. I walked to the kitchen making breakfast for myself. After I finished I started walking to the bus stop. I arrived to school and as usual I was pushed by jake first thing in the morning. I rolled my eyes walking to my class.

"happy birthday bestie!!!"

I heard Naya scream across the whole classroom. She ran to me and hugged me. This exposure wasn't really helping my anxiety but I went with it not wanting her to feel sad.

Kailey was surprisingly quite this morning.

End of the class

I walked out relieved I can go home when I was stopped by none other than Kailey and her squad of minions. I rolled my eyes ignoring them. She pushed me and slammed me against the locker.

"ignoring me i see."
"Kailey please can you leave me alone today at least."
"and why is that? Are you gonna go cry to your oppa about Kailey the bully?"

I saw her laughing at her own joke. I rolled my eyes. I pushed her back making her stumble but her minions caught her. I walked past them not saying a word.
She got up and pulled me by my hair pushing me to the floor.
I flinched at the pain.
