I sat on my bed writing a dumb paper for English. I wanted to write amazing but that word was on our word list that we weren't supposed to use so I had to pull out my laptop and look up other words for amazing.

The door soon flung open and Charlie walked in, throwing her backpack down and walking to the window. She grabbed her binoculars again and looked out.

"And what are you doing?" I asked a little harsher than intended.

She didn't look away from the window, "Watching Chase, duh."

I squinted my eyes at her, "What about Michael." I said in a disgusted tone.

She turned to me, "What?"

"I figured you liked Michael." I shrugged.

"Why would you think that?" She asked, a smile creeping on her face.

She laughed, "No. The only reason I was all over him is cause I knew you liked him."

I blushed, "I... don't"

She snorted, "K. But it sucks for you cause he's straight."

"You don't know that." I argued.

"Do to. He was talking about his ex girlfriend at lunch."

I frowned, "Maybe-"

"Give it up, Luke." She said, seriously, "You have no chance with him."

And with that, she walked out, leaving me alone in the room.

-

"Luke, come on we ordered pizza." Nate said, peaking his head in the room.

I turned over in my bed, "I'm not too hungry."

I could feel him frowning, "Mate, what's wrong?"

I shrugged, "I'm just tired."

He sat on the edge of my bed, "Come on. You should know I don't fall for that."

"Fine. I'm just sick of pizza." I lied.

"Well we have cereal and-"

"I need to take a shower." I said, getting up and walking out the door.

Before I could leave the room, Nate grabbed my arm, "You can take a shower after you eat."

"Why wont you just leave me alone? I told you I'm not fucking hungry." I said, pulling away from his grasp and hurrying to the bathroom.
