I ran my fingers across my puffy red skin under my eyes. I sighed and slid on Sam's Nebraska sweatshirt and walked back downstairs. GIlinsky was making waffles and Johnson was on the couch, playing on his phone.

"You know what?" I asked Johnson as I sat on his legs which made him gasp in slight pain. I laughed and he smiled.

"What?"

"Sammy is coming home tonight." I said and his smile faided.

"About that, his flight got cancelled." He said quietly.

"Oh.. well that's okay I guess. I'm going to go upstairs and shower." I said truning to the stairs.

"But breakfast-"

"I'm not hungry." I said. Gilinsky gave me one of those looks, but I just kept walking.

When I got into the room Sam and I share, I shut the door and felt the tears coming. I grabbed a pillow and screamed into it.

Why me.. always me...

I heard a knock and before I could answer, Gilinsky was already walking in. I shook my head at him.

"Get out Jack."

"You can't always just kick the people that try to help out of your life Kayla. I'm not leaving. And either are you." He said walking over to me, and sitting on the end of the bed by me. I wiped my face once again. "You cry a lot."

"Too much..."

"No. It's not enough." I gave him a confused look. "In order to feel better, Kayla, you have to accept that you're broken." I opened my mouth to speak but he cut me off. "You're not the only one with problems. We all have them. Sam too, even if you think he's perfect. Nobody is perfect Kayla, but if they were, you would be."

"Jack I don't-"

"Stop. Don't say anything. I'm so sick of hearing you trying to blame yourself for everything. It's not you. I swear. And if you don't stop blaming now, it's only going to get worse. Believe me." I looked into his dark brown eyes. "I may be broken, but I'm happy with that. I accept it. Which is what you have to do." He got up and started to walk out of the room. "By the way, Jack and I are going out to lunch with Matt and Shawn today. Dress nice, you DON'T have a choice."

The door slammed shut and I felt myself jump. Gilinsky was right, I need to stop.

I got up and walked into the bathroom, closing the door and turning on the hot water. The clean air turned into a warm steam before I turned on the fan. Once I was in the shower, I rinsed my hair and cleaned myself.

As I got out, I grabbed a towel and dried myself off. My hair dyer was plugged in and ready for use. I finished and curled my hair in loose waves, taking what Jack said into consideration.

I don't understand why I never tried to look somewhat good. I had broad cheek bones and perfectly long eyelashes, and on point eyebrows. My chest wasn't overly large, but I had a nice one for sure. Same with my butt, and hips. Both full.

My makeup was finished, and I had a black tutu bottomed dress on. The waistline was tight and sparkly. I pulled out my red closed toed shoes and slid them on.

"Kayla?" I heard Johnson whisper from outside my door. He came in slowly and had and concerned look on his face. "Jack can get a little harsh sometimes. But you look okay, he didn't say anything too bad did he?" I shook my head no and he smiled. "Good. Are you ready?"

I took one step froward to the mirror I was looking in and nodded once again. I turned and followed Johnson out of the room, down the hall, and down the stairs. Walking in heels has always been super easy for me. I'm tall enough to not need them, but I love how cute they are.

"Wohhhh. Now that's a model." Matt said with his hands in his pockets. I smiled at him. "You've grown up little girl."

"Oh shut the hell up Matty boy, you're just still pissed that I'm older than you." I laughed and he squished his face together in annoyance.

"Shawn's waiting guys, we should go." Gilinsky said with his head down. Matt held the door open for me and I stepped outside. The hair was hot and damp. The two best feelings in the world.

I sat in the car, my head leaning against the window, Matt starring out of his next to me.

"Did you know-" Matt started but GIlinsky cut him off.

"No. Matt." He said sternly. Matt nodded and turned back to his window. I watched Johnson from the rear view mirror and he just smiled. What's going on?

"We're here!" Matt yelled and knocked me out of my gaze. I looked around and saw the Cafe a la France and smiled wide.

"YOU GUYS DIDN'T?!" I screamed getting out and looking at them. Shawn waved through the window and I ran in and jumped into his arms.

"Bayla Bayla oh how I've missed my barn yard girl." I smiled and hugged him tighter.

"You just can't stand the fact that I'm stronger than you!" I laughed and he shrugged. He smiled and hugged the other guys. It's the first time in months that Shawn's been here. He's been touring like crazy, and I couldn't be prouder.

"Shall we sit?" Matt asked me and I smiled at him as he pulled out my chair. I pulled my dress down as I sat and he pushed me in.

"Why isn't it busy? Usually this place is packed." I said looking around.  A waitress aproached and I had to order all the guys' food since I was the only one who spoke french. I watched her walk into the doors I assume lead to the kitchen. Matt whispered something to GIlinsky and he took out his phone. He typed fastly.

A few minutes past ny, of Shawn and I talking about music. The bell on the door rang lightly and I turned to see who was entering.

"SAM!" I yelled, jumping out of my chair, knocking it over just to get to him.

"Damn it Peterson, you weren't supposed to see me." He said squeezing me tightly. I smiled and kissed his cheek as he set me down. He looked deep into my eyes before lowering himself to one knee. I was lost... lost in his amazing eyes. "Kayla. No matter what, you seem to always ruin my plans. But I ask one thing of you. Don't ruin this one." He took out a small black velvet box. He looked up at my confused self and chuckled. "Kayla. Will you please marry me?"

I looked at the guys who all smiled and nodded.

"I will." I said quietly and he smiled, a small tear falling from his eye. He stood up and slid the ring on my finger. "Sam it's-"

"I know we're young. But when you know, you know. And I know. I know that I want you to be my other haldf of my life. I love you so much baby girl."

"SO you guys knew this whole times?"

"WELL... what can I say? I had to come visit you for SOME reason." Shawn said.
