Damon's POV

I was in the living room drinking bourbon mixed with blood I was thinking about the trip to Richmond hoping that I could find information about werewolves; I went upstairs seeing my daughter was still asleep I grabbed her purple and pink bag putting clothes shoes and other things in it then I walked over to her gently shaking her awake. "Yasmin baby come on get up we have to be at Elena's in a hour" I said while she woke up rubbing her eyes, "come on sweetie you can go to sleep on the way to Elena's get up" I said helping her out of bed watching her go in the bathroom taking a shower she came out with damp hair and PINK burgundy tights and a matching sweater she put on socks and shoes then handed me her hair things sitting down in front of me so I could do her hair.... After I finished doing her hair I decided to leave it down brushing out her curls making her hair poofy then we went downstairs with our things vamp speeding to Elena's house I put me and my daughters things in Alaric's truck.
Stefan wasn't going with us he was staying to teach Caroline how to be a vampire. " I'll take good care of Elena" I said sarcastically while her and my brother looked at me then kissed I just looked at my daughter who looked tired, "why do you look so tired?" I asked moving hair out her face, "I couldn't go to sleep last night" she said rubbing her eyes tiredly while Elena got in the car, "well you have plenty of time go to sleep on the way to Richmond" I said picking her up putting her in the car closing the door getting in the passenger side closing the door looking back while Ric drove seeing Yasmin asleep in Elena's lap. "Why did you make Yasmin come?" Alaric asked me looking at the rode, "I refuse to leave her by herself" I said simply, "she wasn't gonna be by himself Stefan was gonna be there with her, "He's busy training blondie and like I said I refuse on leaving her by herself why you ask do you not want my daughter with us?" I asked looking at my friend, "I love Yasmin I was just wondering and are you sure you want her to have werewolves on her mind she's young?" Alaric asked, "she'll be with me she'll be fine" I said looking back at my daughter seeing she had her rainbow blanket over her I smiled then looked forward seeing we were here so we got out Elena had Yasmin in her arms I grabbed my sleeping daughter from her carrying her inside. "Hello how may I help you?" a young woman asked looking at us, "I'm Alaric these are my friends Damon Salvatore Elena gilbert and the sleeping one is Yasmin Salvatore" Alaric said pointing at my daughter, "right this way" she said taking us to a room I put Yasmin on a table sitting her up seeing she opened her now gray eyes, "my names Vanessa Monroe I was a student of Isobel's by the way have you heard any news?" Vanessa asked Alaric while he looked sad of his late wife. "No" he lied while Vanessa nodded her head, "I'll go get the lights" she said walking out the room while we looked for things that could help us with the werewolf legend, "where she go?" I asked looking around then heard she came back with a crossbow shooting it at Elena so I vamp sped over pushing Elena out the way taking the arrow; "Daddy!" Yasmin said jumping off the table her eyes turned bright amber looking over at Vanessa while Alaric pushed her to the wall and Elena helped get the arrow out of my back. "I'm fine sweetheart" I said while she walked over to me I could see her hands glowing then I didn't have a hole in my shirt anymore I hugged my daughter feeling she was shaking I kissed her head whispering in her ear that I was fine. "That bitch is so dead" I said about to walk over to Vanessa but Elena stopped me, "your not gonna kill her" she said looking at me while I looked at her daring her to say I wouldn't, "and why is that?" I asked walking slowly towards her moving Yasmin so I could get over to Elena; "because if you do I'll never talk to you again" she said while I looked at her seeing she was manipulating me, "your trying to manipulate me I see you and katherine are far more alike" I said looking at her straight in the eye I could see she hated being compared to her doppelganger, "more like state the truth but call it whatever you want" Elena said not liking what I said I watched her walk to Vanessa they started talking I teased both of them seeing my daughter looking at something. "What you got there?" I asked walking up to her, "this woman looks like me who is she?" Yasmin asked I took the book she was reading seeing it was a picture of Amber my daughters mother. "Its your mother" I said smiling at the picture then looked at my daughter who was smiling, "what was she like?" Yasmin asked looking up at me, "beautiful stubborn and a lot like you" I said remembering the day I layed eyes on Amber, "I wish she was here" Yasmin said sadly I pulled her into a hug holding her small body to me listening to her heart, "she'll always be in your heart" I said kissing her head giving her the book we finished up I saw book with Petrova knowing Elena didn't see it I walked outside holding my daughters hand. "Let me get that for you" I said unlock the door blocking her way handing her the book, "Petrova like Katherine?" She asked looking at the book then up at me, "Katherina Petrova saw it on a heirloom one night men snoop to you know" I said looking down at her, "thank you Damon" Elena said while I nodded, "to answer your question I didn't know Jeremy was wearing his ring when I snapped his neck but I'm glad he was" I said while she nodded at me, "me too and thank you again" she said getting into the car I got in then Alaric got in I turned around seeing Yasmin was asleep again I just smiled turning around looking out the window.... Later on Alaric got tired of driving so I took over dropping Elena off at home I got me and my daughters things vamp speeding home waking Yasmin for a shower then she went back asleep I kissed her head then went downstairs getting a drink seeing Stefan walking in. "How was training with blondie?" I asked looking at him while he got a drink as well. "It was good shes learning quickly" he said while I nodded sitting on the couch thinking about the book my daughter found, "Yasmin found a book about her mother" I said while he looked worried, "what did she say?" He asked sitting next to me, "she asked what she was like I told her just like her" I said while he nodded, "I was meaning to ask you this years ago do you think Ambers dead?" Stefan asked looking at me seriously, "I don't know half me thinks so the other half doesn't I don't want Yasmin to get hurt I took the book while she was asleep I don't want her getting into this right now" I said seriously looking into the fire in the fireplace, "I'm with you on this Damon just tell me what you need me to do" Stefan said looking at me while I nodded, "help me protect my little girl" I said while he nodded, "always" Stefan said turning to look at the fire we waited until it went down then went upstairs checking on Yasmin then went to my room showering got into bed reading call of the wind then went to bed knowing tomorrow is the day I get to put some silver into Mason Lockwood.

Ok so here it is Next chapter is the barbeque which is gonna be uncomfortable to Yasmin but we all know Damon's overprotectiveness will show more and more.
-Mason will want to know Yasmin more Damon will check him on that.
- Yasmin stays close to Damon during the bbq not wanting to be near Mason.
-Caroline is new to the vampire thing her and the younger Salvatore will talk about girl things which will be fun for Yasmin.
- Damon will trust Caroline with his daughter seeing she'll ease up around the friendly blonde.
-Mason talks to Yasmin asking her about her life which makes Damon's daughter uncomfortable so she gets under her father.
- Lastly Yasmin's having nightmares about the past she doesn't tell her father and uncle but when they find out they'll wonder why she didn't come to them.
