A little girl was running in the woods playing until she heard a lound whimper so going over to where she heard it deeper into the woods the small child saw a little purple looking lizard with feather's or something like that. "What kind of lizard have feather's?" the little girl asked getting closer the small creature back away growling at her it's eye's glowing purple the small child looked at the small creature her eye's copying it's eye's glowing causing the the creature to tilt it's head in shock. "Are you a girl or boy?" the little girl asked the creature and as if it understood her it turned on it's back showing her that it was indeed a girl.
The little creature let the child pick it up in her arms and let her carry it. "I'm going to take you home and show you to my Dad and Uncle" the child said walking through the woods to her house walking through the front door. "Uncle Stefan Daddy come here!" the child yelled hearing footsteps and a whoosh of wind looking up she saw her Uncle looking at her with wide eye's. "Yasmin your little how?" Stefan asked looking down at his once so fourteen year niece now she looked six year's old. "Yeah I wanted to see if it was true about me being a shapeshifter and it's true" Yasmin said with a cute smile that made Stefan's cold heart melt. "Where's Daddy I want to show him shadow" the little girl said looking up at her Uncle her deep dimple's showing. "He's at Elena's which we need to get going" Stefan said while Yasmin ran to her Uncle's car getting into the front seat holding the small creature in her lap getting more and more excited to show her Daddy the small creature.
When they got to the Gilbert's house the youngest Salvatore got out of her Uncle's car vamp speeding to the front door only for it to open seeing Elena's little brother Jeremy. "Um sorry little one we don't need any cookies" Jeremy said causing the small creature in Yasmin's arms to growl at him it's eye's glowing purple. "It's me Jer Yasmin" the youngest Salvatore said looking up at the teenage boy. "What how are you little?" Jeremy said shocked while Stefan walked up the porch to the door seeing his niece and girlfriend's brother talking and the small creature in his niece's arms growling. "I'm a shapeshifter I can transform into almost anything" Yasmin said pushing the boy out the way going into the house yelling for her Daddy. "What the hell what's with the yelling?" Damon came out the kitchen seeing a little girl she ran to him hugging his leg. "Ok what's going on?" the older Salvatore said looking at his brother. "It's Yasmin" Stefan whispered to his brother. "My baby's a baby?" Damon asked picking up his daughter and seeing the small creature in Yasmin's arm's. "Who's this?" Damon asked petting the little creature on the head causing it to purr. "Her name is shadow I found her in the woods alone crying" Yasmin said her eyes sad which broke Damon's heart. "Are you going to take care of her?" The blue eyed Vampire asked his daughter who's Hazel eye's looked brighter in the sunlight that was shinning from the window. "I promise and I think her and Oreo will be friends" the little girl said while the little creature looked at Damon in the eye's it's eye's glowing purple Yasmin's eye's following. "Why are your eyes glowing?" Damon asked feeling himself getting worried putting his daughter on the ground. "She's communicating with me" Yasmin said looking into the creature's eye's feeling her mind go fuzzy seeing vision's of the creature's past and future seeing she's going as big as the clocktower in town square then the vision broke. "What happened are you alright?" Damon asked while Yasmin placed shadow on the floor hugging her father. "She's not a lizard she's half phoenix and half dragon" the young Salvatore said looking into her father's icy blue eye's. "I think I was meant to find her" Yasmin said looking down seeing the little phoenix dragon looking up at her it's tail wagging which caused Yasmin to giggle and her fluffy cream colored tail to come out wagging in happiness sitting on the floor playing with her new best friend.
After the Salvatore's left the Gilbert's house they went back home Yasmin and shadow asleep so Damon carried Yasmin while Stefan carried the small creature to the girl's room both older Salvatore's seeing Yasmin's Siberian husky laying on the bed looking at them wagging her tail when they walked in. "Go get her bath ready while I get her up" Damon said looking at his brother who nodded his head walking to his niece's bathroom running the tub.
