Natasha was sat down at a camp table, her hat on her head and slightly dipped down, trying to avoid any attention drawn to her face.
She was hunched over a stew bowl, eating it tiredly as she didn't manage to get too much sleep last night for obvious reasons. With her head still throbbing, she had resorted to closing her eyes most of the day, the light managing to cause severe pain somehow.
She heard some shuffle next to her and she glanced downwards to see their clothes, trying to notice who it was and she was glad when it was Kieran, finally on his break. The camp still gave him a hard time but he was pretty content with his situation, he was no longer being treated like dirt from the O'Driscolls and was being treated more like a human with the Van Der Linde gang.
"How you feeling Miss?" He questioned, comfortably sitting next to her but keeping his voice low, not knowing if other members of the camp knew yet about last night.
"Like horse shit." She muttered, looking up to feet his gaze, her face shadowed completely from her hat but he could make out the light bruising around her nose and the pained look in her once vibrant eyes.
"Don't blame you. How's your ribs?" He asked further, wanting to show her some signs of comfort.
"Again, like horse shit." She laughed lightly, her small laugh causing her to then cough roughly, covering her mouth with her hand. She pulled her hand away and cursed when she spotted a small amount of blood in her hand from her cough, her face scrunching up in disgust at the sight.
Kieran noticed Natasha staring at her hand and he arched his brow up, twisted his flask around in his hands.
"What is it?"
"Blood." She answered bluntly, wiping her hand on the fabric of her jeans.
"You should get that checked out Natasha? It could be serious. What if you're ill-"Natasha waved off his rambling but offered a kind smile to him to show she was grateful for him being worried.
"It'll be nothing Kieran." She reassured him, trying not to panic herself. "It'll just be from my injuries or something." She stated, standing to her feet and picking up her bowl, instantly Kieran followed her like a lost puppy, refusing to let the sight of her coughing up blood slide.
"Miss Fiore please can you tell someone at least?" Kieran followed closely behind her as she walked to a barrel full of water, dumping her bowl in.
"Kieran stop worrying about me." She sighed, turning on her heel to face the young boy, reaching out and cupping his cheek softly and giving it a slight pinch and squeeze. "I'm fine. Worry about yourself."
Kieran smiled lightly before swatting her hand away causing her to chuckle.
"Alright but maybe see a doctor next town you're in town? For me?" Kieran tried to persuade, giving her a soft look which made her sigh and nod.
"Fine, fine." She assured him.
Kieran smiled triumphantly before he was called upon Javier to get back to work.
"Miss Fiore? May I speak with you?" She heard Dutch call out to her and she instantly dragged her feet over to him and was surprised when he let her inside his tent and gestured to the chair for her to take a seat on.
She waited patiently for Dutch who slightly paced the inside of his tent, his pipe hanging out the corner of his mouth. "Miss Grimshaw informed me about last night." He sighed, stopping in front of her and looking down. She looked up at him, slightly unsure what her teacher was thinking. He crouched down and rest his hands on her knees gently, wanting to get a fuller look at how worn-down face.
