XIII's Rebirth

Familiars

I reach the house and I see the door wide open. A rush in and shut the door trying to keep the interior a secret. I sigh in relief and head towards The Grey Area keeping an ear out for anything. "XION!!" I hear Axel yell and I rush to the location of the noise. Arriving I see Axel bear-hugging Xion as she is visibly shocked. "A-Axel, what are you doing here!" She says as she gets out of her stupor. I sigh and make my presence known.

"Turns out my Sacred gear allows me to create the Organisation XIII members when I get strong enough. Axel must have been eager to leave so when one of them could he jumped right through" I explain and Axel nodded. I go up to them and hug both as they all return it. "I'm glad that we're all back together." I say and they both nod in approval. I then hear the front door open after a bit Aqua walks in.

"Hey Roxas, Xio- who is he?" She says as she spots Axel. "This is Axel, he's been my friend since I joined the Organisation." I say and he nods with a smile. Aqua looks at him closely and her eyes pierce his body. "You look familiar, did you live on Radiant Garden before" she says but before Axel can reply a magic presence can be detected outside.

We all rush the door and I open it with Oblivion pointing out. At the door stands Rias who is a bit shell shocked at first but calms down quickly. "Rias, what are you doing here" I say as I put away Oblivion. "Well, I was wondering if you all would like to come to The Familiar forest, think of it as an act to show proof of us being allies." Rias says and I nod. "Alright, we'll meet you at the ORC." I say and close the door. I create a dark Corridor and we all walk in with Aqua Activating her armour.

*At The ORC*

We arrive and everyone is on guard at the sight of Aqua. "Aqua, your armour" Xion says and Aqua deactivates her armour revealing an apologetic face. "Sorry, only way to protect myself from the darkness." She says and Rias nods quizzically. "Anyway, we about to head off, everyone group up" Rias says and we are all warped out of the room and into the Familiar Forest.

"Rias, we'll meet you back here later ok." I say and my group walks off into the forest to find a familiar. Xion and Aqua got their ones quickly. Aqua managed to get a blue cat while Xion got a black wolf pup. Me and Axel on the otherhand, aren't as lucky. Eventually Acxel got himself a Fiery bird which I think is called a Phoenix which leaves me.

"Ok, you guys head back to the others, I'll keep looking." I say and while apprehensive at first they all nod and go back to Rias and her lot. I continue to walk around until I feel a presence following me. I turn around and I notice something which I prayed would never show up. A Heartless. In particular, a shadow.

I draw Oathkeeper and the Shadow backs away. Wait what. I look at the shadow and notice that it's eyes aren't the usual yellow but rather blue. A dematerialise Oathkeeper and the Shadow approaches. "Okay, that's new" I say while still on guard as it comes closer. When it reaches my leg, I'm tempted to use a Firaga and fry it but then it hugs my leg. My eyes widen as I stare down into it's blue eyes.

"Well, you're different." I say as I crouch down to get closer to it's eye level. It then climbs my body and sits on my shoulders like a kid. "Umm okay, hey do you want to be my familiar." I say cautious and it nods almost immediately. Surprised I walk towards the group and see all the girls bar Xion and Aqua attached to a slime that was...dissolving their clothes... all the while Issei has a nosebleed and Axel is looking away.I begin to blush and close my eyes and I feel the shadow on my shoulders jump off. Next thing I know I hear a lot of fire. Opening my eyes I see the slime reduced to ashes and the Shadow nowhere in sight but instead a Crimson Jazz with the same blue eyes as the Shadow.

The ORC summon more clothes and Koneko punches Issei, knocking him out. I go to Aqua and Xion as they stare into space. "Umm, you 2 ok" I say and they snap out of it and notice the Heartless. They immediately summon their Keyblades and charge at it but transforms back into it's shadow form, sinks into the ground and hides behind me. "Aqua, Xion stop!" I yell and they stop but glare at the Shadow. "Roxas, be careful." Xion says as she points her Kingdom Key at the Shadow, "easy Xion, he's friendly. He saved the others from that slime." I say and the Shadow nods.

This truth shocks her as both notice that it has blue eyes and is afraid instead of attacking them. "Ok, why is it here though." Xion asks and I sigh. "It wants to be my familiar, but I don't know why it is here" i reply as it climbs up to me. Rias then approaches and sees our potential familiars. "Great job you lot, I'll show you how to bind them." She says and the others bind their Familiars to them as I look at mine.

"You sure about this" I say and it nods as I hold my hand. "I Roxas, Key of Destiny hereby declare that you shall serve me as my familiar. Let nothingness guide you to the Light" I say and a magic circle appears underneath it. It was grey in colour with the Nobody Emblem in the middle. Surrounding the emblem are Roman Numerals from I to XIII. The circle disappears and the Shadow looks at me. The Shadow then looks at me and transforms again into a girl of similar height to me.

(Blue Eyes instead of yellow)
"Thank you Master, I apologise for my kinds actions against Keyblade wielded such as yourself" she says and my brain goes into a reboot function. I regain my thoughts and smile. "Umm, now worries. Wait do you have a name." I say and she looks at me. "Please, call me Umbra, Master" She says as she bows. I look at the others and they are equally as surprised. "Well, I think it's best we head off." I say and I create a dark corridor for my group to go through.

We all go in including Umbra and we end up in our house. "Wait, Umbra was it. How weren't you affected by the Lane Between." Xion says and Umbra turns around. "We heartless can travel through the lanes between without any issue as we are composed of darkness." She says and Xion nods. Umbra then turns around and looks at me. "Master, May I reside in your shadow until you request me" She says and I nod. She turn stands on my shadow and turns to black smoke and melds with it. Looking at it, it takes her shape and she waves at me. I look at the others and exhaustion is all their faces. "Alright, let's get some rest we all got school tomorrow" I say and we head off to prepare for a new day.

A/N I'm back bitches and just like I said in the last chapter I've regained to spark that I needed to continue with this story. Just to mention know. I am going to completely forgo the events after KH2 just so it fits to storyline a bit more. Also I made some changes to the previous chapters because I re-read them and saw some errors.
