Well, Oz wasn't lying about our new missions. Literally the next day and we get 5 missions of varying from Grimm to Heartless to Recon. So I had the pleasure of dividing the teams to best suit the mission. Oh hearts. If this is what Xemnas was faced with I can understand why he would give Saïx a hard time. I looked at each mission briefing and sighed. "Alright, let's do this." I say as the door to my room opens. Ruby walks in and sees the papers in front of me. "What are these?" She asks and I sigh. "Mission briefings, we've been given 5 missions that need completion." I say and Ruby looks them over.
She skims through each of them and pulls up a chair. "Come on, I'll help" she says and I smile. "What would I do without you?" I say rhetorically and kiss her. While small , the kiss had meaning and we then began on setting people up with missions. "Okay! Mission 1: Infiltration and Recovery. WF Base locates south of Vale, enter and collect information on plans and supplies." Ruby reads off. "A stealth mission, I'd say Blake and Neo would be good choices. Umbra would also be good for this" I say and Ruby thinks it over. "Makes sense." She agrees with me as we note that down.
After about 10 minutes we have a full list on mission details and who shall go. Ruby then stands and stretches her back as I get up and head for the door. Opening it Ruby grabs my hand and we set off for Where Nothing Gathers. We go to our respective chairs as I give a signal requesting the others present. One by one they flood in and reach their seats. "Okay, Ozpin has issued us missions that he expects done by the day's end. I have decided who shall accompany who. Blake, you shall be assigned an infiltration mission with Neo and Umbra. A WF base has been sighted find out as much as you can." I say and they nod.
Turning to Axel and Yang I clear my throat. "Axel, Yang. You both have been designated an extermination mission. There is a suprisely high amount of Grimm in Forever Fall. Sort it out and if you can, find out why." I say and they both look pumped. Looking towards Weiss and Ruby I address them. "Ruby. You and Weiss are heading for central Vale for reconnaissance. There have been reports of a shadowy figure described similar to a heartless lurking about." I say and they both nod, Weiss begrudgingly. I then Look to Aqua and Vanitas. "Aqua, you shall be going with Vanitas for Heartless extermination. Ozpin has reported high levels near Mountain Glenn. Now I want you two to put the past behind. We can't let it get in the way anymore" I say and a get an understanding nod from Aqua but a groan from Vanitas.
I then look at Xion. "Xion, you and I are dealing with a Giant Heartless appearing in the Desert of Menagerie. Witness reports match up with the appearance of an Antlion. I'll need the help." I say and she nods. I then look at everyone in the room as they either warp out or climb down. I teleport to The Grey Area where Ruby comes up to Xion. "Take care of him" she says and puts something in her hand, but I shrug it off. I look at Umbra who comes up to us. "Good luck Roxas," She says and I nod. "Same to you as well." I reply and she bows her head.
I look at Xion as she stands next to me. "Ready?" I say and she nods. "Let's go" She says determined and I create a corridor to Menagerie. We walk through and we see the vast desert. "Reminds me of Agrabah" Xion says and I nod in agreement. "Let's go. Can't let this thing run loose." I say and she nods as we start to walk. Didn't take long as about 5 minutes later the Heartless rears it's ugly head.
