Roxas PoV
Sora, it was where I was made and it is where I'm returning to. For once I feel like this is meant to happen. Looking at him I realise our similarities. "You know, you make a good other." I say and fade away into him. What happens next surprises me to no end. I open my eyes to find myself floating in front of a giant being.
"Ah, Roxas glad you could make it." It says looking at me. "Who are you and where am I" I yell summoning Oathkeeper and Oblivion. The being chuckles and looks at me. "Simple, I am a Deity known as Stratos, The World Watcher. You are in my domain." The deity speaks as I look to see around me different worlds.
"You're probably wondering why you are here of all people and simply put, I pity you." Stratos says which would slightly annoy me but I'm a Nobody. "Recently a world has collapsed and what would've meant to happen is that this man here along with a few others would be integrated to another universe." Stratos explains while revealing a guy with black hair and tiger ears. "Although, the collapse has damaged his body to the point where it is a complete husk, this is where you come in." I look at the person n front of me to see his body beginning to turn to embers.
"I would take his soul and change it, then give it to you. This would make you whole, you would have a heart. You would take his place. You can live a life of your choosing." Stratos says while I go over what he says. "What's the catch?" I say seriously, I know when something is too good to be true. "Simple, in this world the supernatural exist. One such race is known as a The Devils. You can't join them." He says while getting serious at the end. "Alright, I'll do it." I say
He smiles and claps his hands. "Excellent, also this will wipe your memory but certain actions or words will bring back memories. I can't change this, this is a given when a person goes to a new world when their's has collapsed. Since you're taking his place, you will be affected. You'll be given fake memories to compensate." He says as a portal is created. "Go through and you'll be right in your new life" He says and I run in.
Timeskip
I wake up to the sound of a Stupid Alarm clock given to me by my younger brother, Issei Hyoudou. I'm the adopted son of the family and compared to Issei it's noticeable that we are not related. For one I have blonde hair and blue eyes.
"Roxas, get up or you'll be late!" Mom yells as I get my new uniform on. Yep, like most other stories this is the main character's first day of high school. I head downstairs seeing Mom, Dad and Issei at the table. I grab a plate and make something quick to eat. "Easy there Champ, you'll choke." My dad says as I scarf down some toast "I'll be heading off. I'm almost late as it is." I say while waving back and running to the school.
Kuoh Academy wasn't that far and I somehow got there earlier than expected. Walking through I notice the school population is predominately girls. Oh Shit, some are drooling while looking at me. I even hear someone yell out if I could date them as I head to the office. I knock and the door opens up.
Inside sits Sona Shitori, the president of the student council. "You must be Roxas, the new student. Please sit." She says while pointing to the chair in front of her desk. I take a seat and she grabs some papers. "Now, it isn't normal for someone to join our academy halfway through the year, may I ask why." She says which is understandable. "I was Home-schooled until recently as I don't really like to talk to people." I say nervously which she notes down and hands me my schedule.
"Alright, thank you for the information. If I may ask, do you know how to play chess." She says while pointing at the desk revealing a chess board in-built. "I've played a bit." I say as she sets out the pieces. "I'll take black if you don't mind." I say as she nods and moves a piece. The tension in the air is quite high as we each move a piece and take the others. Eventually there can only be one victor. "Well, Sona while this game has been fun I afraid that is checkmate." I say and move a rook to fully lock down her king.she only has her king and a bishop while I have both rooks and my queen. She looks at the board and is surprised by the outcome.
