no more awkwardness

A/n who wishes it was Christmas already. School is a pain in the neck right now. I am sorry for the late update. Anyway here's another part for ya'll thirsty vampires.

It felt good waking up this morning for some reason but I've been here since I was young so maybe being back here is relaxing me a bit more. After getting dressed I headed out and went to get breakfast. GOD I missed their food, I get to eat as much as I want and I wont regret it at all. I got my food filled plate and sat down next to Alec, as the other side of the table was full. Jace and Clary were being cliche couples and feeding each other then kissing afterwards, not what I wanted to see in a morning. I turned to Alec who seemed quiet.

"So are you going to tell me about your relationship?" I asked

Alec flushed a little and answered "me and Magnus met while we were trying to recover red heads memories and I almost got married to someone else to restore the family name but I couldnt do that and surprisingly chose love" i sat there open mouthed at his story, i really missed a lot. I gave him a hug which started him at first but hugged back. I was snapped back into reality by Izzy tapping on the table getting my attention. She looked at me then to the left, I followed her line of sight and saw the last person that I wanted to see today. We made eye contact for a brief second before I looked away and met Izzys smirking face.

"Dont you give me that look" I warned. The others were confused and as I suspected asked the question.

"What look? What's going on with you 2?"

Jace POV

Y/n has never been like this before so I started to get worried. Brother syndrome I know.

"What look? What's going on with you 2?" Before I could get an answer someone cleared their throat turning our attention to the person stood before our table. It was the new guy Sebastian, I'm not fond of him but I am grateful as he saved Izzys life.

"May i join you?" He looked down towards my sister and i could see her looking anywhere but him and I dont know what came over me but I wanted so hard to punch his face in. Clary seemed to notice how tense I was and intertwined her hand with mine, I calmed down just enough to stay in my seat.

"Yeah sure, you can sit next to y/n" Izzy invited him to sit down with a smile on her face. Y/n looked like she was about to murder someone.

"I actually have some business to do so if you'll excuse me" she got up and left. I went to go after her but Clary insisted on checking on her as maybe it was girl issues. I let her go and hoped that it wasnt anything serious.

Y/n POV

"I actually have some business to do so if you'll excuse me" I got up and headed towards the training room downstairs as no one will be in there yet. I got out numerous weapons and started practicing. Training helps me remove stress, I did this a lot in Idris and it's become a habit. I had just finished with the blade when the door opened revealing Clary. I was glad it wasnt anyone else otherwise they wouldn't be so lucky. I walked over to the table and placed the blade down as the girl made her way over to me.

"Hey, you walked off when Sebastian appeared and I just wanted to know if everything's ok" she is quite nice and I felt like I could trust her so why not tell her.

"Um me and Sebastian havent had good first impressions I bumped into him and maybe stared for like 5 seconds"

"And? That's not a big deal right?" She really is as clueless as Alec has said.

"Now I am someone who will have a go at someone when they do that. The fact that I didn't to a complete stranger surprises Izzy and myself"
She stood there and processed the information then turned to me.

"Well why dont we talk to him get rid of the awkward tension for starters" she started walking away and I followed. Although she is known to be a pain in the ass at times, couch*Alecs words*cough, she is a nice person. Anyway we found him walking towards the library, Clary pushed me forward thanks a lot.

"Uh hey um I just wanted to apologise for earlier and after that as well" I kept wringing my hands I was anxious what his reaction would be.

"Its fine really I should apologise as well for bumping into you in the first place" he chuckled and I gave a short laugh.

"I think we're both to blame for that" he turned round to walk off but I grabbed his arm. "I also wanted to thank you for helping Izzy as not many people would do that and without her I wouldn't be able to live any longer so again thank you" he paused for a minute before answering.

"Your welcome, it would be a shame to lose 2 amazing shadowhunters" he smiled

"No more awkwardness"
he looked up and made eye contact with me for a brief second before extending his hand.

"No more awkwardness" I shook his hand and not to lie I felt something when we touched but I might just be happy to take another weight off my shoulders. We broke apart and went our separate ways. I saw Izzy standing by my bedroom door so I walked over not realising the big smile plastered on my face.

"Hey Iz what you doing here?" 

"Well I thought I would come here to apologise for taking the teasing too far but I have a feeling something good has happened just" she smiled and pointed to my face. I just realised I was smiling, i tried to hide it but it was too late.

"Um yeah just spoke with Sebastian and apologised and got rid of the awkward tension, that was however after a push from Clary like a physical push" we burst out laughing and entered my room and watched movies all night.
