Ok so this isn't gonna follow the story exactly as there has been no mortal mirror but Valentine will be broken out. I am sorry to fellow readers for the late update.

Clary POV

We have been searching and interrogating shadowhunters to find Johnathan but still no luck. I cant believe that I actually have a brother and he is here but still hes working with Valentine and I dont want to kill him but everyone else will as they see him as a monster cause of the demon part. OMG I know how to find him, I ran around trying to find Izzy and tell her some good news.

"Izzy!!" I finally found her. "I know how to find him"

Y/n POV

I was now sat in Alecs office as Clary and Izzy told us their (Clarys) idea.

"If we used Izzys whip then we might be able to find Johnathan"

"And how will Izzys whip do that?" I questioned.

"Johnathan is part demon and the electrum from the whip will burn him" this sounded like a decent plan. We got to work in gathering shadowhunters to be tested and so far no luck. I was on my way to my room when Sebastian showed up.

"Hey Y/n"

"Hey Seb, are u ok?"

"Seb??" I blushed and internally panicked hard.

"I have nicknames for everyone else except you, is that ok?? I can not call u that if u dont like it.."

"No no its alright, I quite like it" we both smiled and I let out a breath I didnt know I was holding.

"So uh wat did u want to talk to me about?" I asked getting us both back on track.

"I was wondering if u wanted to go for a walk around the city maybe and call it our second date, if ur not too busy. Are u busy?"

"Uh no I'm completely free"

"U sure u look quite expensive" I laughed so hard I almost fell to the floor and he soon joined me.

"Wow that was.. how long have u been waiting to use that one"

"Since 5 seconds ago" we both giggled and made our way to the exit.

As we approached to front door Clary and a couple shadowhunters were there checking people as they enter and exit. She stepped towards us holding a small metallic ball.

"Hey Clary, wats that?" I pointed to the ball in her hand.

"Oh it's a small electrum so we can use this instead of carrying Izzys whip round. Uh do u mind" she held it out to me and I grabbed it and juggled it between hands before giving it back to her and showing clean hands. She let me pass then tested Sebastian. He held it tight in his fist then handed it back before walking past to join me. I smiled as I knew he was clean...or so I thought.

"Hey Sebastian" Clary called, he turned round and she grabbed his wrist and opened his hand and there was a burn mark. The shock and heartbreak I felt in that moment was like I lost my parabatai. He smashed the red button on the wall closing the three of us off from the others. Clary stabbed him in the stomach but he grabbed hold of her and pulled the knife out. I had to chose a side there and then and after a moment of thought I finally decided.

"Dont make me do this" I stood behind him with my serprah blade out and pointed at him ready to strike. He turned round and hurt flashed his eyes when he saw me. Tears started to well up in my eyes, he lied, he is a monster was all I said to keep myself at bay. He dropped Clary and made his way over dropping the knife and his hands up in surrender.

"I hate I'm gonna have to this but remember I'm doing this for you" and next thing I knew was hitting the wall and seeing black.

A few hours later

I woke up in my room with a massive headache and then recent events flashed through my mind and I started to cry. A pair of arms wrapped around me and comforted me until I stopped. I looked up to see Izzy and Jace stood by the door with noticable anger in his eyes.

"What happened?" I wanted to know if he was caught, escaped, dead...

"He escaped but we have every possible resource trying to find him, Valentine is being doubly  watched and guarded" Izzy told me. A part of me was glad that he was alive and ok.

"And when we do I'm gonna kill him in the worst way possible"  Jace spoke up. That for some reason shattered me. His last words to me kept repeating over in my head 'I'm doing this for you'

"No, dont kill him" I said with a touch of begging.

"What DON'T kill him after he almost killed you AND Clary!!" Jace raised his voice. Izzy backed off a bit as the argument continued.

"You should be thanking me that he didnt kill Clary!!"

"BUT HE ALMOST KILLED YOU TO!!!!"

"AND WE SHOULD KILL HIM WHEN HE HAS DONE NOTHING WRONG UNTIL NOW WHERE HE HAS JUST BEEN DISCOVERED!!!"

"WHY ARE YOU DEFENDING HIM, HE IS A MONSTER!!!"

"WELL I DONT CARE BECAUSE I LOVE HIM!!!!" We all froze at my sudden confession, I love him?? Yes I do and I didnt even know it till now.

"Yo-you what???" Jace asked as if he had heard me wrong.

"You heard me" he walked out and slammed the door behind him leaving me with Izzy. The moment I looked towards her face filled with pity I broke down.

"Why did it have to be him?? Why??" I cried out.

"Was there anything he said to you that may have hinted at where he was going or what he was doing?" I thought about telling her, then thought against it but I had to tell someone and I could trust her.

"He said he was doing this for me, I dont understand he doesn't know much about me except..." I paused and thought back to what I told the group and the look in his eyes. It was. Anger. "Oh no, no no no the Clave when they mistreated me I told u guys about it as well but I may have told him extra details on our date"

"Well we know what he might be aiming for"
