I was in Idris when I got told that Valentine had been captured and in custody. The Clave has given me the opportunity to go to New York institute to question Valentine and report back to the Clave but to also oversee operations there aswell. I am so excited cause I get to see my brother and best friends, it has been 2 years since I last saw them.

I entered the institute to see all shadowhunters gathering for a meeting. I stood at the back and waited the head of the institute to make their appearance. To my surprise it's Alec Lightwood one of my best friends, me and him didn't get on well at first but after almost dying I saw how much he did care and have been best buddies ever since. To the left i saw my brother Jace and to the right is Izzy my parabatai.
After Alecs speech and giving orders I made my way to the front.

"Mr Lightwood" I addressed him

"Miss Herondale so good to see you again" he still had that emotionless expression on his face

"Dont pretend your not happy to see me" he finally cracked a smile and gave me a hug.

"Y/N!!!!!" I turned to be met with a mass of black hair as Izzy pulled me into a suffocating hug.

"OMG IZZY I cant breathe" she got pulled away by Alec, I got a moment to breathe before someone grabbed me from behind and picked me up.

"PUT ME DOWN JACE!!!!" He just laughed

"No I missed you too much" after a couple of minutes he put me down and gave me a hug.

"So what are you doing here?"

"The Clave told me to oversee all activities regarding Valentine and to keep an eye on you aswell"

"of course they would" there was a silence.

"I should get settled since I'll be here a while"

"Yes follow me" I followed Izzy and we she showed me where I'd be staying.

"I'm next door so if you need me just knock"

"thanks Izzy" I noticed that she was pale and didn't look well but decided to ask her later.
I set my bags down and just lay on the bed. God it felt good to be back.
