Chapter 3

Lucifer's pov

She just walked away from me just like that. I thought she was also of my kind and didn't believe in Mate kind of things. 

"She needs me," Grey told me. 

"No she doesn't need me," I replied to him. 

"That is because you are such a Man whore," he growled to me. 

I just shut the conversation with him and went to a Blondie and asked her, "Hey want to dance with me?" 

She replied, "Sorry, I already have a Mate and he is damn possessive." 

Oops it hurts. "Oh, sorry my bad," I said with a smirk and left. I drank all I could and stayed over at his place that night.

 The next day I got up and saw the time. It was already ten thirty. My head was throbbing in pain. I quickly went down to the kitchen and saw my beta making pancakes. His parents were killed by rouges when he was five. My parents took care of him thereafter. He was like my brother.

"Hey Chase can I have some headache tablets?"

"It is over there; go take it." He pointed at the cupboard.

"I suppose you found you're Mate yesterday?" He asked me smirking.

"No way, she is not my mate. I don't want a Mate."

"You can't do that. You are the Alpha Lucifer; you just can't get away from your responsibility."

"I don't want this fucking responsibility. Why am I not a normal human like most of the people in this town? I fucking hate this responsibility," I yelled at him.

"Look Lucifer stay calm, and think about it. You can't stay away from your Mate for a long time. It is going to hurt her like hell. She will get bruises all over her body. It also may kill her. As you are male and healthy over doesn't mean your mate will also be same there," he said harshly. I, being an egoist, just walked out of his house and straight to mine, without bothering to take my car.

'It will hurt her my ass' I said in my mind. She left, not me. Even if she won't let her come to me.

My phone has begun to ring while I was in my thoughts. It was Chase.

"Tell me what you want," I spoke with hatred.

"Your mate has met with an accident."

"What?" I growled. Though I didn't want her, something in me made my eyes water. My heart started to ache. I wanted to see her, hold her in my arms. Oh my god, I felt like a hormonal chick.

"I am leaving in 30 minutes, are you coming?" Chase asked.

"Yeah, I will," I said and disconnected the call. I took the quickest shower possible. Then I changed into a casual shirt and jeans. Then I went out to wait for Chase.

Daisy's pov

After I came out of the house, I texted Macy saying I would wait for her in Mc D. She replied with a simple 'yes'.

As I was about to cross the road, I got a hell pain in my stomach. I held my stomach and fell into the middle of the road. A pair of lights blinded my vision, and the next minute, I flew into the air, fell on the ground, and blacked out.
