Melanie looked at herself in the mirror wearing the outfit she had chosen. "Great, Mel. You look EXACTLY like you always do."

She took her sweat jacket off and threw it across the room

She took her sweat jacket off and threw it across the room. She had no female friends to turn to...no sisters...no mother. She certainly didn't have anything that would resemble how Suzie dressed. She took her t shirt off and looked at herself in just jeans and her sport's bra.

Mike would have no clue and Yauch...
She quickly had a thought. She ran over to the phone and dialed Yauch's house phone.

"Yello."

Mel rolled her eyes. She was hoping Paula, Yauch's older sister would have answered."Hey bud."

Yauch smiled. "Hey, Mels. We did say 9 right?"

"Yes, but..."

"You haven't changed your mind, have you?"

"Well, no...I just..."

"Come on, Mel. I promise you will have a good time."

"I need to talk to Paula." She said quickly.

Yauch was surprised by this request. "Since when do you call up Paula?"

"Is she there? I have to ask her something."

"What do you have to ask her that you can't ask me, huh?"

Melanie knew there was only one way to get things moving so she, "It is a...girl situation."

"Oooookay." He said then moved his mouth away from the phone and called out to his sister who was the only one with a phone in her room.

Mel smiled in victory.

"Yeah?!"

"Hi Paula...it's....Melanie."

......

After all was said and done, Paula had gotten Mel to at least wear a tighter shirt with her mid-drift showing. She could not get a dress or skirt on her. This was the semi girlie compromise.

This time Melanie stood in the mirror and questioned this change in attire.

"Take your hair out of that ridiculous pony tail." Paula said in frustration.

Just then there was a banging on her door. "Are you finished with the girlie shit so we can go!" Yauch said on the other side of the door.

"No! We are talking about feminine products!" Mel yelled back.

Yauch began to turn the knob repeatedly but it was locked. "Stop trying to scare me off with feminine shit and open the fuckin' door."

Paula rolled her eyes. "Such a fucking foul mouth."

Mel smiled then opened the door, but only a crack. "Can you give us a few more..."

Yauch pushed his way in. "It is already 9:30. What the hell is..." He stopped when he saw what she was wearing.

Paula smirked seeing how her brother reacted. She always suspected he had a thing for Mel and this just validated her suspicions.

"Doesn't she look sexy?"

Melanie looked horrified and searched for her sweat jacket

Melanie looked horrified and searched for her sweat jacket.

"No!" Paula shouted then snatched it before Mel could get her hands on it. "Now let your hair down."

Melanie looked so conflicted. Yauch could see how uncomfortable she was in this moment and although he also wanted to see her with her hair down, he knew this was not the way. Paula may be a girl, but Yauch knew his friend. "Back off, Paula. She looks fine."

Melanie smiled in relief.

Yauch then snatched the sweat jacket from his sister and handed it to Melanie. "Let's go, okay?" He said and waited for her to exit before addressing his sister. "The answer is yes."

"Heh?"

"The question you asked before. She does look sexy. Thanks, sis."

Paula placed her hand over her heart and smiled. "Awww, my baby bro."

"Fuck off." He said seriously then winked at her.

"Anddddd we are back."

Yauch was disappointed when he saw Melanie put the sweat jacket on again. The good news was, she left it unzipped so there was still some skin showing.

As they began to pedal down the block, Yauch kept his thoughts to himself not wanting to make her uncomfortable. He knew that she was dressed this way for Ad, which was sad for him, but he was use to it by now.

He smirked when he watched her take her ponytail out. She ran her fingers through her hair before putting it back into a ponytail.

Yauch knew that she sometimes did this to see if people would react to her hair being down. As soon as someone would comment good or bad, she would quickly put it back up.

She them took it out again and turned to Yauch. "Do you think there will be a lot of people there?"

Yauch felt special in this moment. She trusted him with seeing her in this way. It definitely changed her entire look when her hair was down. If Ad didn't tease her so much, he would get to see it too and would probably feel the same way he did. He knew that day would come so he always kept his feelings for Mel in check knowing it was almost inevitable that Ad would come around. It was just a question of when.

"Probably. That Suzie is quite the popular chick."

Melanie curled her lip in disgust.

He chucked at her, which made her smile.

"Looks like we have arrived." He said as they peddled up the driveway.
