8. Bump

Having just finished her daily workout at the gym, Jennie made her way to the nearest coffee shop like she always did.

At this point, it wasn't just routine it was more an obsession. If she didn't hit the gym and then get herself a large cup of coffee she would find her mind would race with the thoughts of not 'doing her part'.

She sighs as she opens up the door to the cafe and the smell of coffee hits her in full force. She inhales the smell, making her feel a little nauseous.

As usual she walks over to the cashier and by now, they're quite well acquainted.

"Iced black coffee for Jennie right?" The cashier says smiling at Jennie.

"Yep" Jennie replies smiling. She couldn't wait to have that cold drink in her, suppressing her urge to grab lunch right now.

As she walks over to collect her drink she feels a tap on her shoulder. She turns around to see Jisoo.

"Jennie?"

Jennie turns around and envelopes Jisoo into a hug. "Hi!" She says excitedly.

"I didnt know you went to this cafe" Jennie says as she takes in Jisoo's appearance. Jisoo looked different, her hair was purple.

"Yeah. I was just walking around and thought I'd get some coffee" Jisoo replies innocently to Jennie, happy to bump into the brunette beauty.

"Ya. Your hair looks amazing Jisoo" Jennie says as she takes a piece of Jisoo's hair into her hands.

"You think so?" Jisoo replies gushing at Jennies compliment.

"Yes! I love it. I wish I was brave enough to pull that colour off!" Jennie says continuing to compliment Jisoo.

"Iced black coffee for Jennie anyone?" A barista calls out.

"Oh! Thats me. One second" Jennie says as she runs to collect her coffee.

Jisoo stood there waiting for Jennie. As much as it hurt her that Jennie never mentioned the flowers she couldn't help but find herself being pulled towards Jennie. There was just... something interesting about her.

"Hey Jen?" Jisoo speaks up as Jennie gets closer to her again.

"Mmm" She hums out as she takes a sip of her coffee.

"Do you uh... do you want to get dinner tonight?" Jisoo bravely asks Jennie, desperately hoping she wouldn't get shot down.

Jennie however had other things on her mind. Today was Thursday, which meant it was the fourth day in a row in which she'd be going to Lisa's for dinner.

For some reason, the last few days with Lisa had been so meaningful and fun for her that she was not willing to cancel on Lisa to get dinner with a budding friend she hadn't seen in weeks.

She wanted to see Lisa every night. Lisa made her feel happy and sane. Like she was okay, she was worthy, she was ... pretty.

"Um, I actually can't do dinner tonight I'm afraid" Jennie replies to Jisoo.

But when she notices a sudden frown emerge on Jisoo's face she can't help but feel guilty. She knew Lisa wouldn't care if Jennie bailed on one night of their bet but, she didn't want to. She wanted to see Lisa.

Another thing was that, she didn't feel as though she could afford to eat 2 meals in a day. Since lately she'd been eating more than a few bites at dinner when with Lisa.
